Chapter Seven

I asked her to stay with me tonight and she looked terrified. I couldn’t read what was going through her head. She started babbling, like she was stuck on a thought. “What is it, my love?” I asked. “I’m a virgin” she said with her chin dropped. I slightly chuckled and picked her chin up “My love, I’m not asking you for s*x, I’m asking you to stay with me tonight. When you are ready for us to take that step we will, but I just found you, I want to get to know you, I need to know everything about you” I said to her sweetly. I had to make sure she knew I would never let anything make her uncomfortable, I just wanted to get to know everything about her. “I want to know you too, I’ll stay” she said as she kissed me, her lips were so soft. She pulled back and had this accomplished smirk on her face, she looked so proud in that moment, she wasn’t acting so shy. “Let’s get back to the party, love. We only have a couple more hours here and then you have me all to yourself” I said smiling at her. This was going to be the longest few hours of my life but I knew in the end it would be worth it. We walked back hand in hand, the shy girl that I rushed out had seemed to melt away and she walked with such confidence. I knew she was perfect but the look of confidence in a woman is something truly powerful and so sexy. We walked over to the alpha table where all the neighboring alphas were sitting, old or young it didn’t matter. Every alpha, beta, gamma and delta were required to join this party, most were my age but some were slightly older and some were middle aged. We wanted to give everyone the best shot at finding their mate so if the older men came, it just meant their children would come. It seemed like a little much but nothing sucked more than seeing everyone around you happy with their mates and being without yours. We had to help as many as we could, we had to make this a new tradition. “Good evening gentlemen, how are we doing tonight?” I asked the table. “We are doing just fine, its great to see young love happening right in front of us. Who is this beautiful young woman?” Alpha Derek asked. He was a very well respected alpha, he was an older man who was training his son for his position. “This is my mate Cordelia, I was lucky to join these lucky few in finding my mate tonight”I said with utmost confidence as I grabbed her waist. “It’s an honor to meet you gentlemen” Cordelia said with a smile. “The pleasure is ours, welcome to the rest of your lives Alpha and Luna” he replied all the other alphas agreeing. “Thank you guys, I don’t want to be rude but we have to make our rounds so I will see you all later” I said, leading Cordelia away. “I’ve never been around so many alphas, did I do okay?” she asked. “Baby, don’t be nervous, they’re just people just like I am. You don’t have to talk to alphas a certain way, just be respectful” I told her. “I know you are, it’s just a little intimidating.” she said. “Don’t be intimidated my love, you never have to feel like that with anyone around me.” I replied to her. We made our way around and all I saw was a very poofy red dress engulfing my sweetheart, I couldn’t see what was happening. All I heard was excited screaming and jumping and a familiar face standing in the background shaking his head. “Joseph, right?” I said laughing. “Yes sir, it seems our mates have gone a little crazy.” he replied back, chuckling. “Your mate? Congratulations. I’m happy for you two.” I said. “b***h, I told you. I told you it would be one of us! I had a feeling and I was right!” Christina screamed at her. I stood back and laughed, I might be alpha but I’m nothing special. All the girls fawning over me just makes me laugh, there’s only one girl that I wanted and I’ve got her now. It's really great to know how much she talked about me though. “Shut up, I just got him, don’t kill me from embarrassment.” she tried whispering to Christina. I reached over and grabbed her hand and she blushed all over, how could she be any more cute. “I know we met before, but since you’re going to be in my best friend's life, I’m Christina. She’s my sister so please be good to her, she and her family have done everything for me, she’s an amazing person, so just please take care of her” Christina said to me. “I will do everything in my power to make sure she is very well taken care of, I’ll make sure she has a life filled with love and desire and adventure because she deserves it.” I know I just got her and I know I sound ridiculous but how can I feel so much love for her already. “Because she’s our mate you i***t, what do you not understand about it. We have loved her since we knew she existed” Draco snarked at me. My wolf was a good one, but god was he an ass sometimes.

Cordelia’s POV

Hearing Christina and Sameul talking was one of the most heart touching things I’ve ever witnessed. I knew I loved my best friend but the amount of love she has for me made me so happy. Hearing what Sameul felt was something I didn’t expect so soon. I know he’s 22. He's been looking for his mate for four years now and I had been looking for only eighteen hours, so I knew that he had so much love to give, he’s had so much time to learn how to love someone properly. I’m so new at this, I’ve been in relationships but I knew nothing would ever come from them. At this moment, I knew when I found my mate I would be all for him so I never made anything super serious. But how do I know what to do now, how do you love someone. I would try my best for him, I would do anything for him to be honest. “We’ll learn together, all four of us are going to learn together. We are a team, but we don’t know each other yet, we can and will do this. We are a perfect pair after all” Zarya said to me. I knew she was right, with her I knew that I could do anything. “I’m happy to hear how much I mean to you guys” I said with tears in my eyes. “Awh, babe. Don’t do that, you know you’re my sister and always have been. Don't cry, this is our day, remember?” Christina said, hugging me. “I know babe, thank you for saying it outloud though. I love you” I said, drying my eyes. Seeing how much my life was going to be was the best possible thing to be running through my head. I get to stay in my pack, I get to keep my best friends close, plus I had the most amazing man to plan my future with, I was the luckiest werewolf there was. We all danced and talked as the night went on, Sameul had me mingle with a few different people. I saw our beta, gamma and delta to the side, they all had their mates except our gamma so they weren’t interested in mingling with anyone but the other leadership. I thought we would walk over to them considering I’ll have to know all of them personally but I saw Beta Dennis’ eyes cloud over then Sameul leans “I want you to meet everyone, but I have had you talk to so many people tonight I wanted to give you a break. It’s 11:00 now, do you want to stay here or make our way somewhere more private?” he asks. “Can we find Christina and Joseph first so I can tell them bye?” he smiled from ear to ear and nodded. Looking around for a minute and I finally saw them, Christina made eye contact with me and we walked to each other “I love you guys” hugging them both “I’ll see you guys soon, we wanted to go somewhere so we can talk but I wanted to tell you all bye. Take the limo and make the best of it.” I said to them, “We love you too Cordie” Joseph said “We’ll see you later, we didn’t want to leave without seeing you first. Take care of her man, she’s like a sister to me” he said to Sameul. We said our goodbyes and I turned to Sameul with those icy blue eyes stuck on me, “I’m ready” I said and he took my hand and led me out. There were so many people looking at us, I didn’t know why there were other alphas here and they had their mates but they were all looking at me. The looks from the females there was pure comedy, the jealousy was radiating in the air. I stopped in the middle of the walkway and pulled Sameul’s hand and he turned around questioning what I was doing. I smiled and pulled on his hand, pulling him down to me “kiss me” I said. He smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist lifting me off the ground, our lips crashing into each other. He started pushing his tongue to my lips and I welcomed him. We kissed, our tongues fighting for dominance before he pulled away, giving me one more quick peck. I just smiled and looked around again, eyes still glued to us but it was only the girls at this point. Oh well, let them be jealous. This delicious and beautiful man is all mine. We started walking out again, I was feeling so confident in myself. We walked out and got to his elevator and he looked at me and said “There are a couple different places we can go to talk, but you tell me what you’re comfortable with” he said “We can always go to our room, or my office on the my floor, or even your future office, or we can go out by the lake. You tell me what you want to do.” I couldn’t do anything but smile “What my love?” he asked, smiling back at me. “You said our room” I said. He chuckled “Well of course, all of this is yours now. We have the entire upper floor and underneath us goes to beta, gamma and delta. They each get their own floor for them and their families who choose to live here. We also have anyone who works in the house living on the second floor. We have our own bathrooms, kitchens and everything on our floor, they’re just there to make it feel like a home. You’re my luna so all of this is yours.” he said, kissing my hand. “I don’t know what to say” I said to him “How about just start with where we can go to talk?” he said. “We can go to our room” I said shyly. “Don’t do that my sweet, I told you, we are not going to do anything you’re not comfortable with, ever. You can trust me, I just want to talk to you” he said. He pressed the button for the top floor.
