Chapter 11

The rest of the time we spent with his parents the more I was growing to love them, they were amazing people and their ideas made this pack what it is today. His brother was an asshole, but maybe one day he would grow to accept me. We sat with his parents for about two hours before he ran them off to get his day started. He said he doesn’t always work on a weekend day but because of graduation and all the new wolves he had extra paperwork and planning he had to do. His parents left after a very lengthy goodbye. When the door shut he turned and looked at me and smiled. “What?” I asked, smiling back at him. “They love you .” he said and kissed my lips. “I love them too, they were so easy to talk to. Talking to your mom felt like talking to mine.” I said back to him. “I linked everyone else so they’ll be here in five minues, I know it’s a lot but after they get the introductions over with we can go down and have lunch. And if you’re up for it, after we eat we can go see your parents.” he said. “I thought you had work to do?” I asked. “I did, but I can get it done tomorrow. We have a full day of meeting people and getting you ready for your first shift, it can wait my love.” he said as he kissed me. Thank goddess, I didn’t want to be here all day and him miss meeting my parents. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him deeper, I let my tongue break through his lips and explored his mouth. He pulled me closer by the waist and picked me up, wrapping my legs around his waist. He started moving his rough hands up my body, grabbing and massaging my body when the door burst open “Sammy! Oh. Hah! My bad bro.” was the voice of a beardy red haired man, covered in tattoos. “Dennis, you’re a d**k” Sameul said as he sat me on my feet. He grabbed my hand and turned around, I awkwardly smiled at them and looked down trying to get the blush on my face to go away. I look up to see our beta, gamma and delta as well as their mates. “Cordelia, this is Dennis and his mate Alyssa, Then Gabriel and his lonely ass.” he says laughing, Gabriel sat back flipping Sam off with a goofy smirk on his face. “And that over there is Jerimiah and his wife Sydney. Guys this is Cordelia, my mate.” he said. I looked at all of the people in front of me and they were such different people, Dennis was our Beta, he had red hair with a beard and was covered in tattoos, he was almost as big as Sam but not quite, his mate Alyssa had bleach blonde hair that fell into beautiful curls. Gabriel is our gamma, he has long hair that was solid black, any time I had ever seen him on our pack grounds he always had it in a ponytail, he had a few tattoos here and there but nowhere near like what the other guys had. He was huge, I knew he was one of the best warriors we had, but I didn’t expect him to be so huge. Jerimiah had longer hair, about shoulder length, he was an average build and was covered in electronics and video game tattoos, he’s our delta but he's also our tech and security guy of the pack. He has been a savior of our pack, his new systems make sure we stay 100% safe here. His wife was Sydney and she was gorgeous, her hair hung down to her hips in loose curls, it was light brown, she looked like a hippie in my opinion but it was so cute. They all looked like such regular people to me, it was really hard to believe that these were all of our people in control, hell, I was going to be one of these people in control. “Hi everyone, sorry about.. that..” I said waving at everyone. “Its cool, I’m sure it won’t be the last time. s**t happens” Gabriel said. I really hoped it would be the last time, I don’t want anyone but Sam seeing me like that, I was so embarrassed. “Don’t be embarrassed dude, they all walked in on me and Denny once, butt ass naked. We’re werewolves, we do s**t like this all the time” Alyssa assured me. I knew Alyssa from school, we never talked but I knew of her, she was a year or two ahead of me. I nodded and agreed with her. “Sit down guys, ask your questions now because after we leave the room, you don’t get to ask any more.” Sam said to all of them. We all sat down around the conference table but Sam pulled me into his lap. “Well fine then, Sammy. We didn’t wanna be able to talk to our future Luna anyways.” Dennis said, rolling his eyes and snapping at Sam. I could definitely tell they had a friendship like mine and Christina’s. This was going to be great, I thought that they were going to be super serious and I’m so glad they’re not. “Dennis, get to know the woman and quit being a s**t head. Please.” Sam said massaging his temples. “Oh, I struck a nerve. My job is done.” he replied back, blowing Sam a kiss. “Seeing as you put up with grumpy ass over there, I think you’ll fit in awesome with all of us. We’re one big successful train wreck. By the way, Dennis is a stupid name, it was my grandfather’s or something, so call me Denny. Still stupid, but it sounds better than ‘Dennis’.” he said “So tell us about you, then we’ll ask our questions and you can ask yours.” Do you know how hard it is to describe yourself to a room full of people who could end up hating you for it. I felt so much pressure because I would be in charge here, Sam and I are going to be first in charge and that was terrifying. If someone hates me, what’s to stop them from killing me? Presidents get assassinated all the time, and what if I turn out like them. There’s plenty of people that hate me in school, so why would they want me as their leader? All these thoughts were running through my head and then I heard Sam’s voice in my head “My love, please stop thinking so much. These are my closest friends, they’re just like me. They’re going to love you for you because I love you.” I knew we had our pack link but this is the first time I had ever used it. I tried concentrating really hard to use it back and finally felt the words pass through me to him. “I know, I’m just scared, I’m eighteen, how am I supposed to be a leader? And what if they don’t like me?” I said through our link “You were chosen to be my mate, which means our mother goddess knew you were a natural born leader,and she knew you could do it. She chose it all, when I got to find you and everything. Don’t doubt that, we are the perfect team my sweet. You are more capable than you know.” he said. He always knew the right thing to say, I immediately felt a rise in confidence in myself. I had to start believing in myself, there is no way we could fail as long as we were together. “Hey now, no secret meetings, we’re not scary people and we’re not d***s. We just wanna get to know you.” Denny said. “Dennis, shut up.” Sam said. “Okay then, uh. I’m Cordelia Summers, I’m eighteen. My birthday was actually yesterday. I graduate next week. I’ve been in warrior training for years now. That was my goal for after school. Uh, I don’t really know what else to say, I’m just an average girl. I like music, talking s**t and having fun. I don’t tolerate bullies, I’m a very stern believer in everyone's equal. I don’t know what else to say, you’ll just have to get to know me.” I said. “You just turned eighteen? You graduate with my sisters and Sam’s brother huh?” Denny asked. “Yes I do, unfortunately, your sisters hate me and his brother does as well.” I said back. “Of course they hate you, his sisters are bitches.” Gabriel said laughing, making everyone else laugh. “Hey, get it right, they’re spoiled bitches.” Denny said, laughing even harder. “I wasn’t going to say that, but it is true. They hate me because I don’t let them run all over me like everyone else. I can’t tell you the amount of times they’ve threatened me with you.” I said to Denny with a chuckle. “With me? What the hell am I supposed to do? Come to think about it though, I do remember hearing about the blue haired b***h a couple times from my dad.” he said, making a low growl escape Sam’s lips. I turned to see that his eyes had darkened and he was getting pissed. I reached around and grabbed the back of his head pulling him to my neck, his scent calmed me down so I really hoped that mine would calm him down. I heard him inhale deeply a couple times and looked back at him, his blue eyes broke back through. “Wow, I’ve never seen anyone be able to calm him down, let alone with no words.” Gabriel said. “Anyways! Don’t worry about my sisters, my parents spoiled the hell out of them, they have gone completely crazy thinking they have any type of power even though they don’t.” Denny said. “Believe me, I know. They think that because they have beta blood they’re betas themselves. I try to avoid them all while I’m there, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do that anymore. They’re all going to hate seeing me as luna.” I said. “Oh well, they’ll get over it or they can leave.” Jerimiah said from across the table. “Hello, luna. My wife and I are honored you are to be our new luna. I am grateful that you aren’t like either of their siblings. We’re happy to see what good things you’re going to do for this pack.” he said. “Awh, good ol Jer here to be all professional.” Denny said. “Some of us have to, if it were up to you and Gabe, this would be a damn fraternity.” Jerimiah said. “I plead the fifth.” Denny said, earning him a smack to the back of his head by Alyssa. “My mate really isn’t this big of an asshole, he’s just an idiot.” Alyssa said, making everyone at the table laugh and Denny roll his eyes. “I’m not an idiot.” Denny pouted. “Anyways, these boys are done talking, now it’s our turn. We love new girlfriends!” Alyssa said. “That over there is Sydney, and I’m Alyssa. We’re pretty much best friends but we could definitely use another. We’re pretty boring and these guys are too, we so needed more girls around. We’re gonna get together after your graduation and throw you a party, so that means we have two weeks to go shopping” Alyssa said. “Guys you don’t have to do that, really.” I said “Babe, it’s a great idea. You deserve it, plus you’re our new luna, and it’ll be a great opportunity for me to show you off before your luna ceremony.” Sam said, kissing my cheek. “I also may have forgotten to tell you something.” Sam said, smiling nervously. “What?” I said, sharing the nervousness. “We have an introduction ceremony today we have to go to, since you’re fully marked and mated, we have to hold a ceremony telling the pack.” he said. “So, when is that going to be? It’s not a long ceremony is it?” I asked. “We’ll all be going down and getting lunch and after that we’re going to the ceremony. It should only take a few minutes for the ceremony, we just have to go, I’ll say my speech and we’ll have to mingle a little bit. This way you can see your parents now, and we can go by their house later. Is that okay my love?” he asked. “It’s fine” I said. I was so nervous about this, I knew basically everyone in the pack but I didn't want to be in front of everyone. My anxiety was going through the roof, we have an entire town of people here. Wolves, witches, humans, so many people. I had so much growing up I needed to do, I had to do this for Sam but I am so scared. “Let’s go eat baby, the kitchen has our food cooking now and it should be done when we get down there.” Sam said to me. “Okay, let’s go eat.” We made it down stairs to the private dining room and all pretty much ate in silence. They could all tell I was super nervous and I don’t think they wanted to say anything to scare me. We got done eating and it was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. “Are you ready? The crowd is gathering downtown.” Sam said. “As ready as I’m ever going to be.” I said, grabbing his hand.
