Chapter 13

We made our way across town in silence, we could sit and not even speak and it felt like the most comfortable thing in the world. He was such a beautiful sight to look at and I couldn’t get enough of him. He smelled like the best apple pie I’d ever smelled in my entire life, he could make my mouth water. We rode down the road and I couldn’t help but stare at him while he drove. He had his hand on my thigh and I had mine on top of his, we made such perfect electricity. “Up here on the left, right?” Sam asked. “Uh, yeah. How did you know that?” I asked. “I’m the alpha but also your father is my best warrior, I’ve got to know where he’s at almost at all times.” he said. We pulled in the driveway and as soon as my parents heard the car they were out the door waiting for us on the porch. My mom was smiling from ear to ear, I was the child with a mate and my mom’s excitement was radiating off of her. My dad had this proud look on his face, the only time I ever saw that face was when he watched me in training. “Are you ready this time? My mom looks way too excited right now and I just know you’re going to walk into a million questions.” I said giggling. “Of course, I’ve got to make them love me as much as my parents loved you.” he said, giving me a quick kiss. “I will never get enough of that.” I said pulling him in for a harder kiss. “My love, if you want this night to continue with clothes on, I suggest you stop while you’re ahead of yourself.” he said inches from my lips. “Fine, for now.” I said and got out of the car. Sam got out and caught up to me and whispered “Careful, might just make me think that sweet little shy girl is gone, then there’s no telling what I’ll have to do.” he said while kissing the side of my head. Goddess, what was I going to get myself into. “Hey guys.” I said hugging my parents. “Hello Christian, hello Elene. Hope everyone is doing well this evening.” Sam said. “Of course alpha, thank you for bringing my baby by.” my mom said. “No need for thank yous, I will always make sure she sees her family. You are very important to her. She is welcome here whenever she pleases and you are welcome at the pack house whenever you please. Also, we are family now, please call me Sam or Sameul.” Sam said. “Well, we appreciate that very much Sam.” my dad said. “Darling, your brother and sister are so excited to meet your mate. I know your brother knows him from school but this is Tatum’s first time meeting him so she is nervous.” my mom told me. “Well, who am I to keep her waiting. Let’s go meet her, there’s no need to be nervous around me.” Sam said to my mom. We all walked inside and made our way into the den where my siblings were sitting. “Cordie! I’m so happy for you! I couldn’t believe it when the guards came here last night to tell us he...” she looks him up and down “was your mate. Hi! I’m Tatum, I’m not usually like this, I don’t like looking anything but professional, but I am so nervous. I’ve never met an alpha before, I only ever saw you from the crowd, it’s so weird you’re in my living room.” Tatum rambled on and on. “Tatum, honey. Breathe, please. He’s my mate, and your new brother-in-law, don’t be so crazy.” I said to her, “I’m sorry, I’m Tatum. It’s just my dream to work for you or your company.” she told him. “Well what are you interested in Miss Tatum, let’s see about trying to get you an internship if it will make you less nervous around me.” Sam said. “Seriously?! I’m interested in all the politics, I can debate, I can write contracts, proofread contracts. I know business basics. I’ve started learning anything I could about business.” she said, “Well of course, I am all for the bettering of this pack and I can’t let a young lady so eager to learn not have her chance. If it is what you would like to do, I can come up with your own job and pay.” he said. “I can’t believe this, of course I would love to!” Tatum said. I couldn’t believe he’s only been here for a few minutes and already won Tatum over, she has hated anyone I’ve ever brought over here except Christina. “Wow, you just have a way with those words.” I said, smirking at Sam. “I’m pretty amazing.” he said with a wink. About that time Connor, my brother, stood up to join the conversation. “Nice to see ya again Sam. I’ve been training my ass off to make the royal army.” he said. “It’s good to see you again too Connor, and yes I have heard good things. I’ve had my eye on you since you began training. Your father’s name carries weight and we’ve hoped you’re as great as him.We’re very impressed by what we’ve seen.” Sam said, shaking Connor’s hand. “Thank you man, I’ve been working my ass off to get where I’m at.” Connor replied. “No need for thanks, you’ve done all the work for me to notice. Be expecting to hear from someone soon, I put your word in last week to move up your training and get you prepared for the front line like your father. We just had to whoop that attitude out” Sam said laughing. Connor’s eyes lit up and he had a smile from ear to ear. I knew how hard he had been working, I snuck into more than one session of warrior training and he was one of the best. He and I took so much after our dad wanting to be warriors, my sister took after my mom being so book smart. Not that we weren’t smart, we just didn’t have the fascination to be nose deep in books all the time. “Really man?! That’s awesome! I can’t believe it! But I have no idea what attitude you’re talking about, ask my mom, I’m an angel.`` Connor said. This was the happiest I had ever seen my brother, I was so happy for him but I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous. He was doing exactly what I wanted to do and being the future luna, I didn’t know what I could do about wanting to be a warrior. I knew I had an amazing life ahead of me but I really wanted to be just like my dad, I wanted to defend this pack and bring more honor to his name. “Sam, all of this is extremely generous, thank you very much. I have never seen my children so happy.” my dad said to him. “Sir, we are family now and I will always take care of my family. Anything I can do to help and make someone happy, I will gladly do in a heartbeat.” Sam said. “Just know we are extremely grateful.” my mom said to him. “I made dinner for everyone, I know there was food at your ceremony but I wanted to cook for everyone anyways. We are werewolves anyways, I know we all have room to eat.” my mom said smiling. We all made our way into the dining room to see steaks and potatoes as well as salads and shrimp. My mom made an entire surf-n-turf meal for everyone in an hour, she never ceases to amaze me. “Everyone sit down and enjoy.” my mom said. We all sat down and started getting our plates ready, I knew the awkward questions were coming. My mom loved us but she could embarrass the hell out of us so easily. “So, Sam, since my little love is your mate, when can we expect the wedding?” my mom asked, making me choke on my water. “Mom, just no.” I said. “No, it’s okay. I plan on making her the happiest woman alive and I’ll only give her a wedding when she’s ready for it. I’m willing to wait as long as she needs to be ready to be my wife.” he said. “Did you hear that Cordie, he wants us to be his wife. We’ve only been his mate for a day and he’s already talking about marrying us!” Zarya said purring in my head. “What a perfect answer darling, I knew I liked you.” my mom said back to him. Sam looked over at me and smiled “I was put on this earth to make her happy, I intend to do so until I take my last breath.” he said. It was amazing the amount of love this man has for me, and honestly I felt the same for him. This mate bond was no joke, I felt like we had been falling in love for years. All I wanted to do was relish in this moment but of course, we are with my family, and my mom was just too excited to hold back. “Okay, well we know about the wedding now, what about babies? When do I get grandbabies?” she asked. I dropped my face into my hands to hide the embarrassment and thank goddess Sam knew exactly what to say, again. “I’m sorry Elene, I don’t know how to answer you on that one. It’s not something we got around to talking about quite yet. I would love to give her as many pups as she would like, but we have to discuss that before I can give you an answer.” he said. “Plus mom, my birthday was yesterday. I just got him, I want to enjoy him first before we start adding babies in the mix.” I said to her. I knew I always wanted to be a mother but I was nowhere near ready to attempt to have kids. At this point in time I was plenty happy with what Sam and I had going on. I had so much to learn about being Luna and helping Sam run the business, I couldn’t imagine having so much to learn and carrying a baby too. “Baby I understand, I just can’t wait. We’re werewolves and it’s not unheard of to get pregnant your first time, and by those marks on your necks, I know it’s happened. I don’t want to overstep but you’re my baby and I am so curious.” she said, dropping her head and her excited tone. “Darling, she didn’t mean it that way. You know we had plenty of our own fun before we had Connor, let the girl have her own fun.” my dad said. “Dad, you’re right but ew.” I said “I’m sorry mom, I didn’t mean to come off rude, I just don’t know how to answer these questions, I have so much to learn already that adding children would be too hard on me right now. But I promise you, I ‘ve always known I was going to be a mother, and I learned from the best, so we just have to wait for the right time.” I said, Sam reached over and grabbed my thigh and kissed the side of my head making Zarya purr in my head and making me blush. “That’s very sweet darling, I’m just so happy and proud of you sweetheart.” my mom smiling, getting her chipper tone back. We all started eating and asking our questions around the table, everyone getting to know Sam more personally. They loved him and I loved that they did. He was so perfect and knew exactly the right thing to say and do at all times, I was the luckiest woman alive. “Are you ready to go get more of your things my sweet? We’ll want to get you out there soon” Sam asked. My mom's eyes popped open wide and I knew she wanted to ask for what, but she didn’t. “Yes, that’s fine babe. We’ll go get things ready.” I said to Sam. “I’m going out tonight to let Zarya out for the first time, she really wants to meet Draco and I owe it to her.” I said to my family. “Yay! Good, you’ll have a great time darling, be careful and take it easy.” my mom said to me, I nodded at her and smiled then made my way to my room with Sam. I opened my door and his eyes went a little wide, making me laugh. My room was a basic room but I had my Halloween decorations everywhere. “What is it?” I asked, still laughing. “Nothing, your room is just exactly what I thought it was going to look like.” he said laughing. All I could do was laugh and go back to gathering my stuff up. “If you want my love, just take out everything you want to take home with us and leave it out, just bring what you need for tonight and tomorrow and I’ll send some omegas over tomorrow to grab the rest of your stuff.” he said. “As long as that’s okay, that would make things a lot easier.”I said back. “Well of course my love, they were hired to help with this stuff baby, they just make things a lot easier for us.” he said. “Okay, I’ll grab out what I can and if I miss anything I’ll just come back for it later.” I said. I got together my overnight bag and anything else I might need. I’ve got school tomorrow so I packed in some comfortable clothes. I laid everything by my bedroom door and felt two arms on either side of me, I looked down to see him reaching for the doorknob and locking it. I turned around to see Sam staring at me, he had a slightly twisted look in his eyes. He smiled mischievously and pinned me up against the door. He started kissing me hard, then deepened the kiss and pushed his tongue in. We kept kissing, our tongues wrestling as he felt his way down my body. He reached down and grabbed my ass, massaging and tugging at my pants. He let go and pulled his hands to the front unbuttoning my pants. I gasped “Sam, they’ll hear.” I said. “Then I guess you better be quiet.” he said in a whisper, shoving his hands down the front of my pants, making me melt. He rubbed and played and he kissed my neck.Biting, kissing, sucking, anything to make my body react. I tried everything I could to not make a sound, but any sound that escaped my mouth made Sam growl with satisfaction. He kissed down my neck and licked over my mark, pushing me over the edge. Sam held me and kissed me deep one more time, before pulling his hand out and licking his fingers clean. He looked me in the eyes and pulled me close “Forever my favorite taste.” he said before kissing me again. “Let’s get going my love, we’ve got a busy night ahead of us.” he said smiling. He grabbed my bags and we walked back down the stairs and into the den where everyone was at. “Alright guys, I guess we’re going to get going. We gotta get out there soon so we can get back sooner.” I said to them all. “Alright darling, we will see you soon okay baby.” my mom said. “Okay mom, I love y’all.” I said. We all hugged each other and we walked out to the car. “Are you sure you’re ready for this love?” Sam asked. “I’m sure, I owe it to Zarya to let her meet Draco.” I said. We started pulling out of the driveway and made our way towards the packhouse, when we pulled past the packhouse onto a dirt road, I was really confused. “Where are we going?” I asked. “I have my own personal place for us to go, just trust me. It’ll be a good place for you to turn for the first time.” he said. We pulled up to a clearing in front of a beautiful crystal clear lake. He walked over and opened my door and led me out of the car up to this lake. When we got to the edge of the water, you could see it was a man made lake with a man made waterfall leading down into it, it was beautiful. The moon reflected perfectly off of the water and made the entire place almost glow, you could see all the stars in the sky from here. “I had some of my best contractors at the company come out here and build this for me. Since no one is allowed back here without permission it's the best hideout for me to come let Draco out. You’re the only person other than my parents that have been out here. It was my own special place and I wanted to share it with you.” he said. “I’m so happy you decided to share this with me, this is the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen.” I said. “Only the best for my love.” he said kissing my lips

“Okay, so you can decide when you’re ready. I won’t turn until you do so I can help you through it. When you’re ready you just have to concentrate everything on Zarya, push yourself to the back of your mind and let her surface. It’ll be painful and it sucks but you can do it.” he said, squeezing my hand for reassurance. “I think I’m ready, she’s going crazy. It feels like she’s running in circles in my head.” I said. “You might want to take your clothes off so that you don’t shred them.” he said to me. “Are you sure you’re not just trying to see me naked.” I said laughing. “ As much as I love seeing you naked, this is all for you my love, I just don’t want to see your things destroyed.” he said laughing. “Get down on your knees, it's the most comfortable way to start. I’ll sit right behind you and try and comfort you.” he said as he sat down. I sat down like he said and started trying to push Zarya forward, she kept letting me know everything was okay and she would try and make it as fast as possible. After a few minutes I felt my body pull back, I heard the starting of bones shifting. My skin started burning like I was in an oven. I felt my joints stretch and my fingernails grow into claws. My jaw broke and elongated into a snout and all of the canine teeth pushed through. I fell down on all fours, felt my spine break and form into the shape of my wolf. I looked down at my hands as they turned to paws and watched as a beautiful silver fur sprouted from the tips of my paws and up my arms, then all over my body. A couple more bones snapped into place and Zarya stood to her feet. We were massive, a lot bigger than I ever thought we would be. Any female wolves I ever saw in wolf form were always small, the only exception were those from alpha lineage.
