Chapter Two

*** Levi's POV ***

I am sitting at my desk when my beta, Alexei walks into the room. "Alpha, the Lune Pack has invited all of the neighboring packs within a 500-mile radius. Apparently, he wants to find his daughter's mate." I lean back in my chair and put my hands behind my head. The Lune pack was a notorious pack that was arguably the biggest and strongest in all of North America. Their Alpha was known to be very ruthless and the stories about his young daughter were quite intimidating as well. 

"How old is his daughter now?" I asked because the last time I have heard mention of the Lune pack was many years ago. Alexei sat down in a seat across from me. 

"She just turned 18 a few months ago," Alexei stated. I found it interesting that she had just turned 18 and yet her father was already throwing a ball. Normally people wait till they're 21 to really look hard for their mate. 

"She is just a pup," I grumble. I am 27 and have yet to find my mate. The fact that she was getting the chance at such a young age made me frustrated and honestly a little bit jealous. I wasn't known to be an emotional man, or even a kind one, but after 9 years of not finding my mate, I have grown to love the idea. Of a person that was made just for me. "Tell them that we will attend, we will just bring our high-ranking wolves and all warriors since I doubt she would find her mate among omegas."

Alexei nodded and left. Just as the door shut I heard a knock. "Come in."

Ivana walked in and smiled. As I said, I haven't met my mate and a man has needs. Ivana knew that I wasn't looking for anything other than a quick f**k. Her dark hair was cut short with bangs that framed her pale face. She was a very good looking women and I enjoyed the arrangement we had created.

"Hi Alpha," she slides onto my lap and wraps her arms around my neck. I let my hands wander down until the were resting on her waist. I pulled her towards me so she was facing me. Her legs were on either side of me and I smirked as she shifted her weight so I could feel her warm core rubbing against my hardening member. 

"Ivana," I grunted as she took her hand and started fumbling with my pants. She glanced up at me and laughed as she finally got the button undone. I closed my eyes as her hand wrapped itself around my c**k. I was about to get more involved but then there was a knock at my door. I sighed and untangled Ivana from me. Once my pants were buttoned and Ivana was seated in the chair across from me I told the visitor they could enter. 

"Lev!" my mother shouted as she bursted into my office. Her eyes glanced at Ivana but she ignored her completely. "Levi Dimitry Odin!" The fact that she was using my full name clued me in that I should probably have Ivana leave my office. Before I had to say anything Ivana nodded her head at me and left my office.

"Hi Mom, is everything okay?" My mother huffed as she sat in the seat Ivana was just sitting in. Her dark blue eyes, which she passed down to me, looked stressed. She ran her hand through her greying hair and sighed. 

"Your brother, he got another she wolf pregnant," she cried out. I held in a laugh. I was so relieved that my mother was a huge drama queen and I realized I shouldn't have been concerned in the first place. My brother was a insatiable man w***e. He was 23 and already had one pup and apparently now another one on the way.

"Mom, you scared me, I thought it was going to be something serious!" I tried to keep my grin small but my mom saw it and her stress quickly turned to anger.

"Levi! It is not funny! You need to talk to him and help him become a better man!" Mom glared at me. I finally laughed out loud.

"I have just as much s*x as him, he just needs to be more careful," I said laughing, knowing that when it came to being a good influence I wasn't exactly anyone's first choice. I may be a pretty good alpha but when it comes to personal relationships I was not known for my kind or thoughtful decisions. 

My mom stood up angrily and left my office huffing and puffing. I just grinned and turned back to the work on my desk. I needed to wrap things up if I wanted to get to the Lune Pack by the weekend.
