Chapter 10

Unknown POV

“They’ve left in a carriage. Unsure of where they’re heading but I’ll stay on their tracks.”

“Is that all you’d like it to say?”

“Yes. Get it to the alpha and wait for further instructions.”

A poof of light started in the center of the paper and it disappeared into smoke.

“Fetch us some horses, we’ll stay off the trail until we’ve received word from the Alpha.”

“Why can’t we attack now and get it all over with?”

“Because you dope! That’s the alpha’s brother out there! We’re under strict orders not to harm the brother.”

“Sir, the alpha has replied!”

“Give it!”

Attack tonight. Bring her to me.

“Let’s move it! Stay on their tail but don’t let them see you.”

Cyrus POV

“Damn this map!” Ada jumped in surprise.

“Sorry princess, I didn’t mean to scare you.” I mumble.

“That’s alright Cyrus.” she said putting her hand on my knee. “I was just surprised. Could I take a look at the map?”

“Have you ever been to the Forest of Enchantment?”

“Well no. But my mother wrote the map so maybe I can read her writing and decipher her clues.”

I hand the map to her and she wrinkles her nose and furrows her brows.

Even her focus face was beautiful. She leaned in and slid her hand up my thigh, my length began to harden and pulse and the closeness of her. I wanted so badly to give in to her.

“May I?” She asks interrupting my vulgar thoughts.

“What?” I say loudly. Too loudly.

“May I sit beside you? Maybe if we put our heads together, we can get it figured out.”

“Oh yes, please sit.” I say scooching as much as I could to the other side of the seat.

She leaned into me, her face so close to mine. All I’d have to do is turn to kiss those beautiful plump lips. But I can not get distracted!

“See here” she points to the map. “It’s a riddle. We have to solve the riddle to find the location of the gem.” She says turning to me.

So close.

“Why would your mother make us solve a riddle? Why not just put it on the map?”

“You said yourself how important this stone is. She’s just protecting me and my future children .” She says looking into my eyes, inching closer. “All we have to do is figure out the riddle.” Adalene smiled. “But we have plenty of time for that don’t we? Why don’t we get to know each other better since you’ve been here with me through this whole mess.”

“You know everything about me, Princess.”

“I don’t think so, what do you do? Why don’t you live in the packhouse? Your father was the alpha so you did grow up in the pack house, why do you live alone?”

“Ah well, the answer to all of those questions is the same. Cohen.”

“Your brother?” She questions. Her nose wrinkles in confusion.

“Yes. My brother and I haven’t gotten on to much since he’s become alpha. I use to live in the pack house and train the warriors of the pack. But I’m the only man that can go toe to toe with Cohen and win. Or even come close to winning. He demoted me to training level 1 wolves. The ones who’ve just turned 18 and gotten their wolves for the first time.”

“Oh! And what do you teach them?”

“I teach them to fight and to hone in on their wolf senses. They cannot be great warriors without becoming familiar with their wolves.”

“Will you teach me?”

“Will I teach you to fight? Or to sense your wolf?”

“Both!” She says grinning. She excitedly turned her body towards mine and rested both hands on my legs.

“I’d do anything for you, Adalene.”

Her smile dropped and I could see something in her eyes. Confusion and desire. She didn’t understand how she felt and I couldn’t take advantage of that. I had to wait until she got her wolf. Then she kissed me and all rational thought went out the window.

I leaned into her kiss, it felt so good to be able to kiss my mate. I turned and put my hand on the back of her neck and held tight. She moaned in pleasure and my wolf went crazy.

I put my other hand on her waist and leaned into her reclining her in the carriage seat.

The carriage driver knocked on the door “Ms. Smith, is everything okay?” He asked concerned.

She began laughing. “Everything is fine.” I say, “Maybe we should set up camp here.”

“Yes Mr. Catori, I’ll begin unloading.”

I pulled Ada’s dress back down trying to ignore my throbbing c**k.

She sat up and reached for my belt again.

“Not now Ada.” I say looking into her eyes.

Hurt crosses her face as I reach up and cradle her face in my hands. I softly kiss her lips “Soon. But not now.”
