Ada’s POV
I watched as Cyrus helped unload the carriage. My heart still racing from the events that had taken place. Cyrus had made me feel over the moon. I never knew my body could feel the way he made me feel and I wanted so desperately to make him feel the same.
Cyrus was unpredictable, he was consistent in being by my side but couldn’t seem to make up his mind when it came to bedding me.
I was grateful for him. He’s made me feel completely safe since we first met but I couldn’t help wanting more from him.
His muscles glistened in the sunlight from his labor and it made heat flood through my body. As if he could sense it, he turned his head my way and smirked at me. God this man was magnificent, I couldn’t help but think about what his mouth had done to me in the carriage. He began walking toward me and breathed deeply. “Princess, it’s hard to work with you over here staring.” He smiled his crooked grin. “Even harder when I can smell how much you want me.”
I gasped and my whole body went cold. He could smell me? Every time I think about him and what he could do to me, he’ll know.
Heat rushed through me again as I thought how thrilling it could be. This time I smiled at him. “You’ll know when I want you, but how will I know when you want me?” I asked getting closer. I could hear his breath hitch see the change in his face. I see why men talk this way to a woman. It makes you feel powerful, drunk even.
I placed my hand on his chest.
Cyrus cleared his throat. “Ah let’s start your training Adalene.” My name on his lips sounded heavenly. His lips alone were heavenly.
“What should I need to begin, sir?” I teased.
CYRUS POV
Days ago Adalene was a quiet and shy lady, seeming unsure of me and of her self even.
Now, she’s a vixen and she’s out for blood.
I don’t know how much of her devilish playing I can take before I give in to her.
I start Ada’s lesson with meditation. I need some quiet without Ada trying to bed me here in broad daylight. Wolves aren’t known much for their modesty. When the beasts take over, it doesn’t matter where you are or who is around you but Ada was raised as a human and hasn’t gotten her wolf yet. I can already tell she will be wild and I can’t wait to experience her wolf.
Ada peeks an eye open.
“Eyes closed.”
“How do you even know my eyes are open?” She asks playfully.
“I am one with nature princess, I know what’s going on around me without seeing it. Now close your eyes so we can get you there as well.”
“Food is ready. Ms. Smith, Mr. Catori.”
“Thanks Ren. We will be over in a moment.” Ada says sweetly smiling a wicked grin at me.
“Looks like meditation is over Cy.” She said standing up and dusting herself off.
“Maybe for you, I still need a moment. I’ll be over soon, you get started without me.”
UNKNOWN POV
“The sun is going down, the alphas brother is in meditation, and she’s far enough away to grab quietly.”
“What’s the plan?”
“Did you not hear me, you dope? Get in there behind her, cover her mouth and bring her to me!”
I watched Cyrus as Derri, Roan, and Ailbe made there way to the b***h to grab her.
Ailbe grabbed her from behind putting his hand over her mouth as he pulled her away from beside the carriage where she was sitting alone eating. Derri wadded a cloth to shove in her mouth so she couldn’t scream and Roan tied her hands behind her. Quietly they all picked her up and made their way back to camp. I stayed for a moment longer to make sure Cyrus didn’t follow.
CYRUS POV
I make my way over to the carriage to join Adalene and Ren to eat. I stayed longer in meditation than I anticipated but I needed to calm myself or I would do something I may regret. I rounded the carriage to see Ren eating alone and two plates of stew untouched.
“Has Adalene not eaten? Where has she gone?” I ask.
“No sire. She told me she as waiting for you and that she doesn’t like to eat alone. I had to go outside of camp for a moment to take care of some business and when I arrived back, she was not here. Maybe she had some business as well?” Ren said sounding a bit worried.
“Maybe so. I’ll look around a bit.”
My wolf is anxious not knowing where Adalene was. I walked around camp listening for her but I heard nothing. I felt nothing. I walked back to the last place she was seen and started looking there. There were drag marks in the ground and foot prints much too big to be Adalene’s. Someone has taken her!
“Ren, stay here. Be on alert if someone comes into camp. Do you have anything to protect yourself with?”
“Uh, yes. I have a dagger sire.”
“Keep it close, I’ll be back.” I growl.
She couldn’t be too far. I smell the breeze to soo if I could catch her scent. I caught the scent of someone else. A scent I knew.
I know who did this and now I know which direction to head in. I have to get to her before they reach their destination.
