POV Crystal

Harper comes by a little before my alarm was supposed to go off and it once again didn’t go off, it’s so weird.

I get ready for the day into my warrior training outfit. It’s a light green compression shirt tucked into dark green pants with light brown boots.

Before walking out the house, I hug my mom, “bye mom, I’ll see you later.”

“Bye sweetheart, be safe” and tells me with a smile.

Today it wasn’t as sunny, there were a lot of clouds out in the sky.

Harper and I talked about the warning I got from commander Tyler but I didn’t tell her what he actually meant.

Since Harper and I were about to get out the house early, we went to the pack house for the breakfast the maids cook for the worriers.

As we walking into the kitchen all eyes are on us, I don’t get why. Commander Tyler comes up to us and shoots us both a deadly glare.

Harper gets the memo and goes to get her tray. Sadly leaving me to deal with Tyler.

“Why the hell are you in here?” He yells, I don’t get why he can’t speak in a normal tone. I have to stop myself from rolling my eyes.

“Commander Tyler, I am sorry but I thought that the kitchen was for everyone?” He stares me down for a good minute and I can hear everyone’s heart racing as they wait to see what Warrior Tyler will say.

He takes a deep breathe, “The kitchen is available to everyone who’s father hasn’t tried to kill the Alpha!” He yells even louder than before which I didn’t even think was possible.

He grabs me by my arm and drags me out of the kitchen doors and I can feel everyone’s gaze on my back as Commander Tyler drags me out.

I know exactly where he’s taking me. Straight to the basement. Oh s**t. Great. I pray to the Mood Goddess that Alpha Collin is in a good mood and he’ll just give me a light beating.

Gosh if my mom wasn’t here I would leave this pack and find another to live in. It’s such a long way to the basement and Tyler doesn’t stop dragging me by the ear. I would try to pull away but I’m starting to get a headache, I do try to swing an arm at him a few times but that only gets my ear tugged on, making it worse.

“I know where we are going, you can let go of my ear and just walk behind me” I would crack a joke or two but he doesn’t have a sense of humor.

“Nah” he says it with a chuckle, “I prefer to drag you til your ear falls off” he says it while busting out laughing and tugging again at my ear.

I just wish someone other than my mom would care for me. I can’t wait til I can find my mate, maybe he’ll be from a different pack and I can finally leave this s**t hole.

“Get in” Tyler throws me down some steps into the basement. I don’t know why he tells me to get in when he insists on throwing me down each time.

It might only be a couple of minutes before Alpha Collin comes in, depending on if Tyler mind linked him on the way here.

The basement is cold and dark, the only light is the small lamp that I can’t turn on because I’ll get in trouble with the Alpha. It’s got a small “bed” which is really just a thin worn out mattress in the corner.

Maybe when I get my wolf tomorrow then I’ll be stronger than I am already, especially since I have Alpha blood. This is so exciting.

I got so lost in thought I didn’t even hear the basement door open, as I go turning around I run straight into Alpha Collin and my smile leaves as fast as my father did. Pretty fast.

I raise my head slowly trying to drag out time as much as I can, but he doesn’t like it at all and he put his pointer finger under my chin and raised my head so I could meet his eyes, nothing about his touch makes me feel good.

I meet his eyes because I want to get this over with as quickly as possible, he stares my down before he smacks me across the face.

“Why in the world would you think someone like you and your family’s past could eat in the kitchen? Stupid bitch.” He tries to be all big and tough I have to hold back from answering him like it was a question.

“I-I’m s-sorry Al-Alpha Col-Colin.” I can’t help but stutter and I know he enjoys the fear radiating off me, it’s so creepy.

POV Alpha Collin

“Charles!” I scream for my Beta so that he can get my son.

“Yes Alpha.” Charles finally reaches my office. “I need you to go find my son and bring him to me. Now go”

I like making people run and do things for me instead of mind-linking who I need because it’s just more fun that way.

After waiting what feels like an hour my son finally knocks on my door. “Come in!” I yell, he walks in with a proud smile.

“What are you smile for?” He seems so happy and for what!

“I had a lot of success with private training this morning that’s all” his answer makes me wanna yell, I have no idea why I’m just not happy and I blame it all on not being able to get my hands on that Crystal girl for the fact that she does everything she can to avoid getting out in the basement. f**k.

“Dad what do you need me for? I was in the middle of training.” Gosh he gets on my nerves, I need my mate to calm me down.

“Hold on” I tell him while I mind-link my mate. ‘Holly can you come to my office, having trouble calm down’ I tell her. She immediately responds telling me she’s on her way.

She’s sick but she’ll be ok, I think. I mean I know I can’t like without her but I don’t really care about her that much.

“Son you have the Alpha ceremony coming up, you need to think about finding your mate so that you can keep this pack strong.” I hope Luka understands how important this is.

I hear a knock on the door and in comes my Holly. She comes straight over to me and sits on my lap. I breathe in her sent to calm me down.

She comes in wearing a dress that falls right above her knees. It’s got beautiful flowers on it and her short dark brown hair goes amazing with it. It makes her green eyes pop.

“I know father, hopefully I will find her at the ceremony” he tells me though that would be awesome except “son you know that the only people at the ceremony will be people from out pack and from age 16 and up right?” I let him know.

“Yes dad I am well aware of that.” Luka says it more as a question than a statement.

For the next 30 minutes I let him know how important it is. And my mate sits with my and helps calm me.

I would’ve kept going but I got interrupted by Commander Tyler mind-linking me, ‘Alpha the girl is in the basement, she tried to have breakfast in the cafeteria with the rest of the warriors.” He tells me. YES!

“Son I have to go, important business.” I nod to him as I make my way out the door not waiting for what he has to say. And I kiss my mate bye.

I practically run to the basement, so excited to let some anger out. When I get there I quickly open the door to get myself down the stairs. When I see her she’s faced the other direction.

I don’t even think knows I’m here. I can smell the the excitement and happiness radiating off her. She spins around still not knowing I’m here, she has a huge smile on her face but as soon as she sees me it falls. I can smell her fear now and it’s making Her hard. She refuses to look up at my so I have to force her.

“Why in the world would you think someone like you and your family’s past could eat in the kitchen? Stupid bitch.” I scold her.

“I-I’m s-sorry Al-Alpha Col-Colin.” She stutters, god I love the fear that’s rolling off her.

I’m in the mood to smack the f**k out her. I wanna watch her bleed.

I have smacked her in the face causing her nose to start bleeding and kicked her in the stomach enough that she almost passed out but that’s not what I want, I want to keep going.

“Get up!” I yell at her. She struggles and falls about 4 times before I decide to rip her from the floor. When I do I throw her against the wall. Her head bounces off.

She’s just so vulnerable and weak.

Well I mean it’s not like she can try to fight me back. I can just banish her for trying to harm me. Or I could kill her.

Just as I start to walk towards the girl my beta Charles mind-links me, ‘sir your wife needs you.’ And he cuts the link off not waiting for my reply.

I scuff and walk the other direction to the door.

“That was fun.” I call to the girl and walk out.
