"Xavier?"
I whispered under my breath.
"I thought aliens abducted you from the earth, dear friend." He walked inside the house, his eyes scanned me from top to bottom and from where I can observe him, a wave of relief washed over his expressions as he sees me.
"Hey," I pass him a weak smile yet avoid looking at him.
He steps closer to me and halts just a few inches away, his strong cologne lingers around me.
"You have no idea how worried I was for you when you didn't respond to my texts and calls, Rain. You had your own differences with Nick but this isn't the wiser way to deal with the situation." He says and every word sinks my heart more with guilt.
I indeed acted impulsively.
