"It's not Candace but me, Rain." I dare to say and in the next moment, she jolts up straight and her bloodshot eyes meet mine.
When I observe her face closely in the dim light, I wish to throw myself out of the window. Her face has lost it's glow, she looks paler and thinner with bags under her eyes as heavy as the weight on my heart that shifted again on my chest as I stare into those lifeless and miserable orbs.
I caused her great pain and suffering that a thousand apologies wouldn't compensate. I made her this way, I destroyed her. I screwed our beautiful bond which didn't need a definition.
