Chapter 5: King Titan's POV

King Titan’s POV. 

I yanked the door from it’s hinges and made my way into the cage! I thought I had seen horror in my life! From my fathers beatings to battlefields to interrogation rooms, nothing had phased me but this rocked me to my core and confused the hell out of me! There, laying on the floor against the wall, was a tiny figure of bloodied, mutilated skin stretched over small, frail bones! I couldn’t even tell the color of her skin because every inch was either cut, bruised, burned or scared! Her hair was so matted with dirt and blood that I couldn’t tell it’s color either! 

“What the f**k?!” Ryker finally managed to squeeze from his lungs. I drop to my knees beside her! I can’t speak. I can’t think. I already know that this image is going to haunt me for the rest of my life! This child barely looks the size of a human 7 year old! Although it’s hard to tell from how emaciated she is, she still can’t be 18 so how in the hell is she giving off a scent?! This has to be some kind of mistake! Ryker is the first of us to form a logical thought. He mind links Forester and our 6 other men and orders them to seize the Alpha and Beta at once and bring them here, giving them a description of how to get to us and gives the order to kill any man who tries to defend either of them. I’m still in shock! The more I look at this naked, broken body the more appaled I become! The male said she had been here for as long as he could remember and it certainly looked that way as she had scars on top of scars! What could this poor thing have done to warrant a life like this?! Was our divine moon Godess so indifferent to her children, she had let this one suffer a life like this?! She hadn’t moved but her tiny heart refused to stop and her breathing was faint and labored! I didn’t even want to touch her for fear I would do more damage! I was seeing red! I wanted blood and when my men finally arrived with the alpha in tow, I went straight for him! Lifting him by his throat and flinging him easily against the wall were he smashed and then crumbled to the ground! Then I pounced on him and slammed my fist against his face over and over until the bones broke and his skin ripped, spraying blood into the air! I didn’t stop! I wanted as much blood from this sick son of b***h as was surrounding that child’s body! 

“TITAN! TITAN ENOUGH!” I barely heard Ryker shouting at me! It wasn’t enough! It would never be enough for what this mother fucker had done! I felt the hands pulling at me and knocked them all away sending all four of them flying and continued pounding although he wasn’t moving much anymore. I could still hear his heart and it did not deserve to beat in the same space as my mate’s or rather that child who my wolf was somehow confusing as a mate! It didn’t matter, I wanted his heart stopped! Before I could land another swing there were even more hands on me pulling me back!

“GODDAMMIT TITAN! IF YOU KILL HIM WE HAVE NO CASE! ENOUGH!” Ryker was shouting again in my ear but I coudn’t understand his words! Then I heard something that stopped me dead! A soft pained moan! I turned and looked back in the cage as the tiny, bloody figure moved ever so slightly! She was waking up!

Creature’s POV

Alpha and Beta had come again. Had hit with hot whips and made burns with evil metal. Had said mean words. Words of stupid king leaving and ripping me open. Laughed at screams. Had tried to touch between legs again. Bit them and they whipped until pain sleep came. Wake up alone. Can’t move. Wolf can’t wake. Want heart to stop. Want no more pain. Want to never wake up. Pain sleep comes again. 

Light! Bad! Strange smell! Loud words! Loud noises! Can’t move but have to try. Have to fight! Will hurt me more! Open eye, other eye not working. Many others! NO! Others mean pain! Must get up, body won’t move! Big strange man comes in cage! Growl! Try to push body away! Hard floor tears skin! 

  “Shhh. Shhh. Hey, it's OK.” Big strange man leans down. Says soft words. Has strange eyes. Black eyes but no hate. Wolf in head stirs! Wants big strange man! No! Trick! Must get away! Try to stand. Fall. 

“Sweetie please, it’s OK. We’re not gonna hurt you!” Big strange man says more soft words and comes closer! No! Trick me! Will hurt me! Other big strange man comes in! Too close! Growl! Have to get up! Have to fight! Lean on wall and try to stand! Other strange man comes closer! Try to hit but legs fall! Other strange man catches me! NO TOUCH! Bite his arm and taste blood! Claw his arm!

“OW! f**k!” Man pulls back arm! Fall! Spit his blood at him! 

“Just back up. She’s gonna hurt herself more!” Big strange man says. Wolf in head is wanting him. Says to trust him! Don’t know trust! No! Push away and try to hit! Growl! 

“Titan, her heart is gonna give out if we don’t get her to calm down! Your wolf said she is your mate, use the mate bond and try to calm her!” Strange bitten man says to other strange man. 

“She’s not my mate! She’s a child! My wolf has to be mistaken so there is no mate bond to use!” Strange man says back. Eyes still on me. I growl and show teeth! 

“She’s no child your Highness and she most likely does feel the pull to you but doesn’t understand it!” Different man comes in cage. Know his voice but not know face. 

“Who are you?” Strange man says to him. Words sound angry! He and other strange man get in front. 

“Doctor Marshall. I’m the pack doctor here and I want to help!” Man says back.

“Have you known about her being down here, like this?!” Strange man that wolf wants says loud, angry words! Have to get away! Will hurt me! 

“Yes. Roman, the man you met in the woods, and myself are the ones who sent in the tip!” Man says. Beta roars from out of cage where other men hold him!

“YOU ARE SO f*****g DEAD!! AND TELL THAT BASTARD HIS SISTER WILL PAY HIS PRICE! I”LL …” Big men hit Beta hard and keep hitting! Must get up! Will hit me too! Legs won’t work! 

“Please your Highness, I will explain everything, but right now we have to get her sedated and up to the hospital or she may not make it this time!” Man says words and takes something from pocket! Will hurt me! Must run! Try to stand, fall! Coming close! Fight them!! 

“What is that?” Strange man says words to man called doctor. 

“A strong sedative. The more she thrashes around, the more damage she’s gonna do to herself. I need one of you to restrain her so I can inject her.” Stange man wolf wants smells thing in doctor’s hand. Comes closer to me! Reaches out hands! Fight! Hit! Growl! Try to bite hands! 

“Shhh. It’s ok sweetie. Please, we’re not going to hurt you.” Big strange man says soft words. Has water in eyes. Keep backing away, back touches wall! Trapped! Fight! Try to hit strange man, grabs me arm and makes strange feeling in arm! Try to pull away! Growl and kick! Strange man picks me up and pushes me to chest! Wraps arms around whole body! Can’t move! Strange feeling all over! No! Trick! Doctor comes closer! Kick at him! Bite stange man’s arm! Doctor stabs me arm! Growl! Try to bite him! Must fight! Will hurt me! 

“It’s ok baby. Just let it help. It’s gonna be ok. Shhh.” Stange man says soft words in ear. Wolf says to listen and then sleeps. Head feels dizzy. Sleep coming, can’t fight.
