"It's time." Onyx and I took our fighting stance. "Seeing as how I challenged you, you get to decide the rules. They must be agreed on by both fighters." "Fine. No outside weapons. Fight to submission. Winner decides the fate of the other fighter. I'll be nice and allow you to pick a few rules." "Anyone other than the two fighters, attempts to intervene in the fight, whomever that person belongs to, that fighter is automatically the loser. Man made weapons are not permitted. That includes the bomb that you have swallowed, Adonis. Might want to throw it up now." He looked shocked for a moment, but he agreed and forced himself to throw up. It was only a tiny thing, but I knew the damage it could do if it was set off. "I agree to your rules." He growled. I nodded. "I also agree to your rules." With that, our fight started. He charged forward, trying to go for my throat right off the bat. That didn't get him far. I swatted him away with my paw. Turns out, his head was smaller than my paw and his strength was less than the average grey wolf. I wanted a fair fight, but he was no match for me. He hit the ground with a yelp. I heard one of his ribs snap. I felt bad for his Beast. I could feel that she didn't want to fight me. I felt Onyx surge forward inside me, he wanted to save her from Adonis. He had no right to have her at all, plus, she wanted to be away from him. I don't know exactly what happened in the past, but it no longer meant anything today. This was a very different day from then and I was now Leader of the Beasts. I hadn't moved when he got up and sunk his fangs into my front leg. All I did was look at him and lift my paw up. He was hanging there by his jaw about a foot off the ground. He hadn't even punctured my skin with how little he had for strength. I let out a sigh of pity. "I think it's about time I end this." The look of fear crossed his eyes, but it didn't stay as it was quickly replaced with anger. I put my paw back on the ground and picked him up by his scruff, holding him there as he struggled to get free. I felt bad for him. He was so weak compared to Ursis. Maybe that was why he was so mad? I sighed once again and threw him to the ground. The sound of his leg breaking echoed in the silence of the crowd that had gathered. He yelped and tried to get up, but with his leg being broken and the pain I could see that he was in, he wasn't going to get up easily. He growled and continued to struggle to his feet. The pity I felt for him grew even more at the sight. With yet another sigh, I walked over and pinned him down by his throat, slowly putting pressure on his windpipe. His whimpering could be heard by everyone, but he had yet to submit to me. I kept holding him there as he struggled. Putting a little more pressure on his throat, he finally submitted to me after nearly thirty minutes of me pinning him down. "I give!" He yelled loud enough for everyone to hear him. I released him and backed away. His Beast really didn't like him. I could still hear her screaming for help to get away from him. "She doesn't like you. What did you do to her?" I blurted out, unable to stop myself. "What are you talking about?" He looked confused. "Your Beast. What did you do to her? She's screaming at me for help. She's not happy." I sat down on the grass in my human form. I was merely three feet in front of him. I knew it was a dangerous thing to do, but he had already submitted to me. "Every day, I inject myself with a serum that I created to get rid of this f*****g thing. Ursis refused to remove it from me, so I've slowly over the years been killing it. He's a Mama's boy. When she wished for us to have a Beast, I told her that I didn't want one, but yet here I am. I still have this nasty creature inside me." He turned his head and started ripping out chunks of fur. "I want it gone!" He yelled to no one in particular. "I can take her away. Just stop hurting her. She's had enough. She doesn't want to be with you either." He stopped and looked at me. His eyes pleading with me to take his Beast away. I stood and walked to the stump, opening the secret compartment on the side. I pulled out a couple robes. I wouldn't need the chant, but I was getting cold and I didn't want to see Adonis naked. "Change back and put this on." I handed him the robe. I looked away until he told me that he was ready. With that, I called forth Onyx and slowly, reached toward Adonis. "Wait." He suddenly said. I looked up at him. "Will it hurt me?" "Yes. It will hurt you a lot, but if you scream, she will be obligated to stay with you until the end of your life. So I warn you, don't scream. Don't make a sound. Breathe evenly." With that, I continued and slowly pulled the soul out of him. I knew I could have done it painlessly, but this was me punishing him for hurting her so badly. "All done." I finally said, holding the soul in my hand. It looked damaged. There were chunks missing from it and there were cracks all over it. "You will never, own a Beast again. You will never conduct experiments on another Beast again. Your killing days are over. As Queen of all who know of magic, I punish you. You are to be a father to your children. You will clean the house, cook for them, launder their clothing. You will love them will all of your heart. There will be check ins for the rest of your natural life with me. You will come to me and you will tell me everything you have done once a week. Do I make myself clear, Adonis?" "Yes, Miss--" "No. Miss. Nightshade only comes out during war. I am Queen Ixora." I cut him off. "Yes, Queen Ixora. I understand you clearly." I turned and looked at Jerry who was holding the chains. I gave him a nod and he dropped the chains, letting everyone go. I didn't have to give a signal to Ursis, he had let Cora go a while ago. I looked at the soul in my hands. It was so sad to see how badly she was treated. I held her close to my heart. "You can heal her, or I can." Ursis said behind me, making me jump. I looked at him and tilted my head. How was I able to heal her? I barely knew what being a Queen was even about. "You can do it." I handed over the soul to him and watched as he slowly breathed onto the soul. "How did you do that?" "Magic, my darling. Magic. " He smiled. I huffed and took the soul from him. "Sad to say that I can't hear them anymore." "What do you mean?" I looked at him with my brow furrowed. "Only the one who leads us can hear them. That was my Mother, then me, now you." "Couldn't your Dad hear them too?" I furrowed my brow at him. He looked sad that he couldn't hear them anymore. I'll be honest, I didn't like when he was sad, or anything but happy for that matter. "He could, but that was simply because he was known as the king and my mother the queen." He shrugged and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Before he could become king, he had to marry her and she had to bound their souls together." I sighed. "I see." I didn't know what else to say. He just shrugged and turned toward his brother. I watched as they exchanged words. I may not be able to hear them because they were speaking so low, but I could tell that Adonis was feeling guilty for what he did. My thoughts traveled to a different place. "I like him, but do I want to marry him? I don't like the look of sadness on his face. Plus we've been through a lot together already." I thought. I let out another sigh, and then I heard it. Well, not it technically, he was male before I turned him female temporarily. "Ours." He said. I was shocked that he spoke again so soon. "He is ours." I looked over at Ursis and there was a girl grinding against him. He didn't look comfortable one bit. Before I could stop myself, I let out a possessive growl. Everyone looked at me, but I couldn't care less. She was touching what was mine. I could feel Ursis's eyes on me, but I was glaring at the girl still. She looked at me, but continued to remain on him. I growled again, feeling Onyx slowly taking control of our body. "Mine!" I growled at her. She glared at me. "He isn't yours. He just said yes to me asking him out." She smirked, noticing that she had struck a nerve. "Wait, what?" Ursis looked at her, shock in his eyes. "I said no such thing! You came over to me and started grinding your body on me!" I was becoming blind with rage and jealousy. I think Ursis said something else, but I couldn't hear him. Onyx had taken control and forced me to change to my wolf form. He was still blood thirsty. I could feel growls rip through my throat, but I couldn't control anything. I could feel that I was walking, no. I was stalking toward something, but what? Was it the girl? I tried to force Onyx back into the mental cage that I had made for him, but he refused to let go. This wasn't good. Not even an hour into being the queen, and I'm about to kill someone. I kept calling Onyx, kept telling him to stop, that I didn't want this, but he wouldn't listen to me. This is not good.
