Goodbye Love

Two days have gone by when we heard our first news.  James is said to have created an army and was waiting for us to dare attack it.  As soon as we heard the news we began to pack up for a road trip.  When we were ready, we paused for a meeting. The plan was simple, but far from easy. “This is gonna be an elimination mission.  We get in, we take out Mr. Borne and we get out.  We’re giving you all communication devices.  If anything happens that is a threat to the plan then tell us back here.  We’re splitting you guys up into two groups of four, and one group of five.  Eddy, Rylee, Luis and Hannah are a group; Alpha one.  Sarah, Lily, Preston and Paiton are another group; Alpha two.  Andrew, Amber, David, Chloe, and Mikayla are the group of five; Alpha three.  Let’s move out.”  We all hop onto different helicopters. “Alpha one ready for take-off,” our pilot says over the radio. “Alpha two and three ready for take-off,” I heard respond. “Final Destination Moscow, Russia, ETA 1700 hours.”  our pilot said over the radio to the tower. “Thanks Alpha one, continue on route,” tower responded. About an hour into the ride I fell asleep, I woke up to my name, “Eddy,” Rylee said whispering. “What is it?” I responded. “It’s time to say goodbye,” she said with tears in her eyes. I couldn’t think it was real and suddenly jolted awake to find everyone asleep.  Rylee wasn’t up, neither was Luis or Hannah.  I looked at the time, it was 1655.  “Time to get up y’all,” I said, moaning stirred the sputtering noise of copter blades.  We landed within five minutes. Our pilot said, “You have about three hours to get in and capture James, get going.”  He hung back inside the helicopter. We started running toward the defensive building in the distance.  I heard a sudden c***k and we hit the ground.  I looked to my right to see Rylee bleeding in the shoulder.  I crawled over and wrapped a bandage around it.  “I think the surprise is gone,”  I said, trying to lighten the mood. She smiled still wincing from the shot. We waited a while, then started crawling through the tall grass.  It was sharp and left cuts along my legs.  When we made it to the building the sniper was watching way beyond us waiting for us to make a move.  We snuck up behind him, he started floating in the air shaking violently.  He was grasping at his throat for air, and then his body went limp.  I dropped him, letting his body fall to the concrete floor.  The floor enveloped his body, trapping him in the cement.  I broke his g*n in half and we all began to creep down the hall of the center building.  We were in an area with red carpet, kinda like the hotel halls in that one horror film.  We heard a door open behind us, we looked and saw a little girl.  She started running towards the end of the hallway.  The floor began to move backward towards us like a conveyor belt.  She started panicking and ran faster but it wasn’t helping.  She was still being pulled backward toward us.  Luis grabbed her arm.  “Who are you?”  Luis said, she began to scream and Luis covered her mouth.  “What are we gonna do with her?” He was looking at me, I looked at the girl, “How about you be a good little girl and calm down.  Let’s have a talk.” She shook her head yes, and then Luis let her go. She looked very worried, “Now, who are you, and what are you doing here?” “I’m Hope, my papa said you’d come and finish us off.  I don’t want you to take my home away.”  With that her face was coarse.  She wasn’t happy. I looked curious, “and who is your father?” “James Borne, my mama died and he brought me here with him.  We’re running away from you villians.”  She was firm in her belief that we were evil and trying to kill them. I looked at her seriously, “I’m sorry, your father is evil and…”  she cut me off almost immediately. “No, No, you killed his workers, and are coming to kill us now.  You are the bad people.  He wants you dead so he can rule this world in peace again.”  With this she began running past me and down the hall, we ran after her, deeper into the labyrinth. She ran left into a large room, a ball room.  She ran right up to a grand chair and hid behind it.  We walked inside and the door closed behind us.  The room was crimson and gold.  Pillars lined the walls all tall and bold.  Several banquet tables lined in between the pillars.  They were all prepared for guests.  Two doors opened on both sides of the room.  A bunch of people, men and women dressed in suits and dresses walked to tables and sat in them.  They acted like we weren’t even there.  A man dressed in a white tuxedo landed from the rafters up above onto the center floor before the throne.  “Well, Well,” he said pulling up his cuffs, “welcome to my russian winter cabin,”  he said walking toward us. “Thanks Mr. Borne,” Rylee said in a sarcastic voice. He looked sarcastic too, “You are very welcome,”  he continued walking toward us then froze, looking at my hand. I had the book in my hand, opened up to a fresh page.  Pencil in my other hand, twirling it in my fingers.  “Why the long face JJ,” I said, finally grasping the pencil in hand. He looked at me with fear, “What do you guys want, you already took my book, my wife, and my powers.  How much lower can you take me, you devils.” I scribbled in the book a second, James Borne shrinks to the size of a toddler.  I looked back up at him.  “Well that’s cute,” He looked furious, “That’s enough, Guards!” Four guards rose up from the floor behind us and they stabbed at us with spears.  The spear vaporized and materialized on the other side of me.  It hit the floor with a crackle.  I looked around though, hearing the crunching of bones and flush of blood.  The guards' bodies rise up to the ceiling and hang there with their heads inside the ceiling.  I kneel down by Rylee’s silent body, and look back at Luis and Hannah’s bodies.  I began to cry. “Not fast enough?”  James said with a smile. “We’re supposed to bring you back alive.  I think they can manage without that.”  I said in a faint whisper, just barely enough so that he could hear me.  I ran toward James and his neck slung around my hand.  His body slammed into the wall with a thud.  “I told you, that you would die for that.” He looked at me with a smile, “Little late for that isn’t it,” he said laughing about Rylee and my friends bodies.  The people around the room all froze and were watching. I took James by the hair and head, “Bye bye,”  I said, his body flew into the ceiling with a loud splat.  “Now for the rest of it.”  I rose above the floor.  The walls and floors and roof were all vanishing into an abyss.  “Hope, you think your father was good, well, I’m certainly no angel.”  Everything vanishes into a blink.  It’s gone.
