Chapter 11 BECAUSE WE WERE all worried about Zeb, the twenty-mile trip to Jacksonville Beach seemed to take forever. Finally, Norm said, “Here we are.” I felt the car slow down and turn sharply, then slow down again and come to a halt, and Norm said, “Zeke, why don’t you run ahead and check on your brother?
