Strange Dreams, Shocking Revelations
"Maybe in a couple of weeks or month, I'd have gotten myself adjusted to this whole situation,"Aria answered, surprised by what Duncan was asking her.
Duncan did not say anything. He simply grunted and turned around, walking out of the room. Aria sighed in relief, glad that Duncan didn't push further. As Aria continued to live among the Midnight Lycan Pack, she began to get used to their cultures and traditions. She also began to get used the fact that whether she liked it or not, she was eventually going to be married to Duncan.
But something began to happen that she just couldn't understand. She realized that she was getting really close to Jeremy, not in a friendly way but in a romantic way. Not matter how hard she tried to get him off her mind, it wasn't working. It was then she realized that she had fallen in love with her brother-in-law to be.
"This can't happen. If Duncan or Jeremy finds out that I've developed feelings for Jeremy, they might throw me out of the pack or maybe even kill me. I'd rather keep my feelings to myself and look for ways to stop myself from falling on love with Jeremy," she thought to herself one day.
Just after when she made up her mind to stop herself from falling in love with Jeremy, she started seeing herself every night in dreams becoming the Luna of the Midnight Lycan Pack. She became confused because Duncan wasn't the King of the pack so there was no way on earth that she would ever be the Luna of the Midnight Pack.
One fateful night, she had the same dream but this time around, the dream did not just stop at her becoming the Luna of the pack. This time, she dreamt that she became Jeremy's mate, hence the reason why she was seeing herself as the Luna o the pack.
When she saw this, she thought it was impossible her to ever be Jeremy's mate. He already had a mate whose name was Bell. She had seen the both of them together and she knew they were planning to get married soon so Aria did not believe the dreams. But that did not stop there, every night, Aria would have the same dream.
When she could not longer take it, she decided to find out what the dream meant and why it was appearing to her every night. After a long search, she found out about an old seer who lived outside the Midnight Lycan Pack. She decided to pay the old seer a visit.
On the day, she planned on going to the seer's house, she told everyone she was going on an evening stroll and she wanted to be alone to gather her thoughts. Jeremy respected her decision and convinced Duncan. Because of her special request, no guards or servants were assigned to go with her. On getting to the old seer's place, she discovered that the old seer was a blind, old woman.
"What can a blind, old woman possibly tell me about my future and this dreams I'm having? This is just going to be a waste of time," she thought to herself.
As she turned to leave the old seer's house, she heard a very scary voice call her name. She shook fear as she turned back around. Her heart jumped in fear when she saw an old woman standing directly behind her.
"You scared me," Aria said, placing a hand on her chest, hoping it would reduce the pace of her racing heart.
"Why do you turn away to leave? Do you no longer want answers to why you are seeing those dreams? Or did you think that a blind old woman wouldn't be able to give you answers?" The old woman said.
Aria was shocked and confused at the same time.
"H...How did you know I was here because I needed answers to my strange dreams?" Aria stammered.
Instead of replying, the old woman burst into a croaky laughter.
"And then as I turned to leave, I heard you call my name. How did you know my name?" Aria asked again after the old seer's laughter died down.
"Come with me and I'll unravel so many things to you, that's if you wish to know," the old seer said and turned around to walk back into her house.
Aria, unsure of whether to follow her, stood still for a while. She was desperate to find answers and she wanted to do so without minding the cost so she moved her legs and followed the old woman. As they entered the old seer's house, Aria sat down on the command of the seer. The seer sat on the chair opposite as Aria watched her impatiently.
"Your name is Aria and your stepmother set you up in an arranged marriage with Lycan Duncan to pay off some debts she owed him, which is not true. Recently, you found yourself falling in love with the twin brother of your engaged partner and now you're having dreams about being his mate and becoming Luna of the Midnight Lycan Pack. Am I right or not?" The old seer asked.
Aria, who was shocked by the revelation of the old seer, couldn't say anything. She slowly nodded her head and the old seer smiled. It was like though she could see the shock on Aria's face.
"What did you mean when you said my mother wasn't owing Lycan Duncan any debts?" Aria asked.
"Do you want to know the answers to that or do you want to know the answers to why you are having the dreams that you're having?" The old seer said.
"I want answers to those dreams," Aria replied.
"Then let's stick to that," the old seer said.
"I'm sorry," Aria apologized.
"About your dreams, the moon goddess has shown it to me long ago. The dream will happen because..."
