Intoxicating Confessions The old seer was interrupted when something got stuck in her throat and she had to cough it out. Aria immediately got up and brought a cup of water for her. The old seer took the cup of water from Aria and drank from it. When she had drank enough, she kept the cup aside and thanked Aria before continuing her speech, "Like I said, the dream is going to come to reality because Jeremy is your fated mate and not his brother." "But that cannot be possible. I am already engaged to Duncan and very soon, we'll be getting married. I don't think you're right," Aria said. The old seer met out a loud shriek that scared Aria and made her cover her ears. "ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY THAT THE MOON GODDESS IS LYING OR DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE'S DOING?" the old seer said in a loud voice. "Not at all. I'm sorry if that's how you perceive my response," Aria apologized. "I just cannot believe it. How can Jeremy and not Duncan be my mate? Jeremy already has someone he's with. Her name is Bell. They look so good together, like a match made in heaven and I'm sure Jeremy is planning to get married to her," Aria added. "The moon goddess has destined that the both of you would end up together and no matter how things look now, what the Moon Goddess had destined to happen will happen. For now, this is all I can say," the old seer said. As Aria made her way back to the pack, she couldn't help but keep thinking about what the old seer had said. She didn't want to believe it but at the same time, she felt excited to know that she was Jeremy's mate. When she got to the pack, she told no one of her encounter with the old seer. Days passed since Aria's meeting with the old seer and the old seer's words remained fresh in her memories. Those days turned into weeks and it was the Jeremy's and Duncan's birthday. Preparations for the grand party were in place. The entire pack had busied themselves in the preparations and Aria was not left out. Finally, the day came and the entire pack was invited to the party, irregardless of the position you held in the pack - omega, Delta, etc. That was on Jeremy's request. He wanted everyone in the pack to feel special which was why he did that. Everyone were enjoying themselves, especially when it got to the middle of the event. Most people were drunk and passed out already while others were even dancing. Aria and Duncan were not left out in the drunken party. Jeremy and Bell, a very beautiful damsel who was Jeremy's first love, were among those who were drunk but we're still aware of their environment. After a couple of dances with Jeremy, Bell excused herself to use the restroom. Jeremy decided to make use of the opportunity to return to his table and take some time to rest before Bell's return. When he got there, he saw that Duncan and Aria had passed out from their heavy drinking. He chuckled and shook his head before tapping Duncan to wake up. "Hey Duncan, wake up. You need to take Aria back to her room. She's passed out," Jeremy said. Duncan only grunted and ignored him before going back to sleep. Despite Jeremy's attempts to wake him up, Duncan didn't budge. Jeremy finally decided to take Aria back to her room on his own. As he carried her, Aria began to murmur incoherent words while smile stupidly. Jeremy couldn't help but smile. When he finally reached her door, he placed her carefully on the bed and covered her up. He was about to leave the room when Aria immediately grabbed his arm and sat up. "Go back to bed, Aria. You need to rest," Jeremy said. Instead of doing as she was told, a completely drunk Aria staggered to her feet, her face so close to Jeremy's that he could perceive the alcohol in her breath. Aria began to stagger and most fell but Jeremy quickly wrapped his arms around her waist to prevent that from happening. Just as he did that, his heart began to beat really fast and he couldn't understand why. Aria cupped his face in her hands and said, "Jeremy, why cant I get you off my mind? Why are you stuck in my head? Is it because you're too nice to me or because you are more handsome than your brother? I can't explain." Jeremy was shocked at her statement. "Aria, you need to go back to sleep. You're drunk and you don't know what you're saying," Jeremy said, trying to overlook what she had said. With a rare audacity prompted by the drink, Aria insisted, "Jeremy, I can't ignore these feelings anymore. I've made an effort to hide them, but it gets harder and harder to resist the moments we spend together." Jeremy experienced mixed feelings after learning of Aria's confession. "Aria, this is just the alcohol talking. We can talk about this when you're clean. Now is the time for you to relax," he said as he tried to gently nudge her back toward the bed. But Aria persisted, propelled by a confluence of feelings and bravery, saying, "No, Jeremy. I must inform you. You have my heart. I don't know how to handle this; I never expected it. Few days ago, I met the old seer, the one who stays outside the pack and she told me that you and I have been destined by the moon goddess to be together. Forever. We are mates, Jeremy. No matter how much you or I try to deny it, what will happen will happen." "That can't be. You're engaged to my brother, Duncan," Jeremy replied, feeling very confused. Instead of replying, Aria did something they both weren't expecting.
