"Lena!" I shrieked, and she cringed and looked up at me. Her blazing eyes became dim as she saw me.?

She attempted to give me a reply, but then, I heard footsteps heading up to the room. I knew it must be the warriors and royal guards who had heard me scream and must be rushing to protect me.?
With a quick move, I shut the door and locked it.?
"Son, she is that girl... Lynn saved. Kill her!!!" I heard the deep grunt of my father from the ground.?
"Xander, I'm sorry, but I have to keep my promise. Every promise I made to everyone who saved my life, I'll keep them all!" She stated this with a strong tone, different from the weak and childish voice she had always had.?
