Chapter 12

Gina had her cookies and fruit juice that night before retiring to bed. She would definitely wake up late the night morning because she really slept late. But nevertheless she would still go to the office no matter how late she was.

It's was finally morning and Gina eyes flipped opened and she quickly stood up from her bed and walked over to her window. She opened the cotton and saw it was so bright already outside and the sun was even out and she knew immediately she was so late for work. She turned on the light and made her way into her restroom where she eased herself and and brushed her teeth before walking out. She proceeded over to her kitchen and started making herself breakfast. She didn't really have dinner so she has to make breakfast for herself at least. After cooking she finally turned off the gas and went back to her room to have her bath. She returned back to the sitting with her car keys and laptop which she dropped on the table before proceeding to the kitchen. She dished out her food and took it to her dining table where she sat and ate her food in a hurry. She was actually grateful that she was the CEO of the company if not she would have definitely get fired today but now she was the boss herself and no one could fire a boss. She hastily ate her food and she was done eating within a few minutes. She took the dishes to the kitchen and just dumped them there and hurried out of the kitchen. She would definitely washed them once she got back from the office later at night. She proceeded to the sitting room and quickly grabbed her car keys and laptop and started walking out of the house. And she head straight to the garage and got into her car and drove off.

She drove her car into the company compound and parked it on the parking lot before proceeding into the building. Her workers greeted her immediately they saw her walking by and she didn't hesitate to respond to them cheerfully as she walked by. She smiled at them waved before walking into her office. Immediately she got into her office the thought of Scott began and all the events that transpired between the two of them. She wondered why he hasn't come to the office until now because she hasn't seen him since she entered the office.

"Could it be that Scott isn't here today or what?" She asked no one in particular. "I really need to ask someone about his him." She thought and took up her headline and dialled one of the headline in the office. She ordered the staff to report to her office immediately before disengaged the call. She relaxed back on her chair as she waited patiently for the workers to come in. Just then her office door cracked opened and the staff walked in.

"Good morning ma'am," she greeted.

"Good morning dear." Gina replied and sighed.

"Ma'am, you sent for me." The staff said, innocently.

"Yes, I did." Gina replied finding it hard to ask her what she wanted to ask before now.

"Ma'am, please is there something you need my help with?" The staff asked, when she realized Gina wasn't saying anything since she was standing there.

"Yes, I.." Gina pulsed. "You know what? just forget about it." Gina said,

"Ok ma'am." The staff bowed with respect and turned to leave.

"Wait have you seen Scott since today?" She asked.

"No ma'am, he hasn't come by the office today." The staff replied.

"Oh ok, you can go." Gina told her.

"Ok, thank you ma'am." She bowed again and finally walked out of the office.

Gina heavied a sighed after the staff has left her off. She had just realized that Scott has finally gone and she knows he won't be coming back anytime soon. She felt a little sad about it but she had actually cause it and now she was regretted it. Honestly she can't really blame herself too much for supporting Dave because everyone in her shoes would definitely do that. She knew for sure that she had lied to to Scott about her loving Dave when she knows fully well she doesn't love him that much but she actually defended him because she was currently still dating him. She can just jumped at Scott when he told her he told her how he feels about her and she really can't be so sure that he really loves her. She really felt Scott has made up the love thing because he wanted her to believe him and what he had said about Dave. Firstly she wasn't really sure about what Scott had said about Dave and she just believed him without seeing any evidence.

She could only hope that Scott would come back to the office soon. She knew for sure that he must be so upset with her for slapping him and also not believe him when he told her all those things but she hopes he forgets about it soon and returns. She wasn't really too happy since he wasn't around right now because she has become so used to him always being around but she knew with time he would definitely return back to the office so all she has to do is wait patiently for him to return. But again was he really in love with her or he just made that up again. She hoped not because she couldn't lie to herself; she had actually fallen in love with him despite everything that she had recently discovered about him. What she felt for him hasn't changed for one bit. If he also has the same feeling for her then she was grateful about that. Just then her office door flipped open and she quickly turned over to the direction of the door and saw Dave walking into the office. He had a wild smile on but she wasn't really moved by it, but she just had to pretend she was happy to see him.

"Hey babe." Dave said, standing in front of her.

"Hey," she replied with a fake smile.

"How are you doing? And how was your night?" Dave asked.

"I'm fine and my night was also good." She replied.

"Ok that's good to know but I actually came here this morning but you weren't in why where did you go?" Dave asked.

"Oh about that, I actually came to the office a little late." She replied.

"Oh but why?" He asked.

"I actually slept late last night and that made me wake up a little late too." She explained.

"Oh ok, I never knew but no one told you I was here?" He asked.

"No, not at all." She replied.

"Those stupid staff I'm going to yelled at them." Dave said, and tried standing up but Gina quickly stopped him and told him to just let it slide.

Dave was really still upset but he would just let it be but he would make sure he gave them a good warning on his way out of her office.

"So how was your night?" She asked.

"I thought you would never ask, anyway it was fine." He replied.

"Well thanks for yesterday, I really had fun and that really helps me a lot." She said,

"You are welcome baby, but we can still go out if you want again today." He told her.

"No, I'm perfectly fine now and I also have so much to do in the office today." She said,

"Oh ok, but we would definitely do lunch right?" He asked.

"Yes sure we will definitely." She replied.

"Ok then, that's fine, I will come to pick you up at lunch, besides it just in a few hours." He said,

"Yes, and I will be waiting for you." She replied.

"Alright then, I guess I should probably allow you work for a while." He said, and stood up on his feet.

"Ok, I will see you later then." She smiled.

"Yes,see you later." He said, and started walking away. She waved at him and he also did the same before going out of the office.

Dave went straight to the staff that saw him that morning when he came in search of Gina. He yelled at them and warned them never to repeat the mistake they just did ever again and they nodded in agreement before he finally walked away.

Gina actually held Dave when he was yelling at the staff but she was too lazy to go out of her office. So she decided to just let it slide and allow him to do what he wanted. She had told him to let it slide but he still went ahead to yell at the staff and all those were the reason his love for him wasn't so strong as it used to be but she would just have to continue pretending that she loves him whenever he was in front of her. But she would still definitely tell him about how he had done what she asked him not to do and hear what he has to say about it. She sighed heavily and continued with her work.

Soon it was noon and also their lunch break. She glanced at her wrist watch and saw it was already time and she knew for sure that Dave would be there any minute. So she started arranging the files on her table. She wasn't really done yet. That was when the door flipped open and she looked up immediately to see Dave.

"Oh Dave you are here already." She said,

"Yes, you know I'm always on time." He replied.

"Yes I know." She said, and continued arranging the files.

"Don't tell me you aren't done yet?" He asked.

"Well I'm done, I just want to arrange these files." She told him.

"Ok, just hurry up, you know we don't have all day." He said,

"Yes, give me a minute, I will be done shortly." She replied, and he just sighed.

She was done with what she was doing and just got up from her seat. She picked up her car keys and purse. "I'm done now, let's go." She said,

"Baby, I actually want you to drive in my car, since you come back to the office." Dave told her.

"Oh Ok then." She said and dropped back her car keys on her desk and walked up to him. He smiled and held her hand into his as they both started walking out of the office.

He walked her to his car and opened the door for her and she stepped in and mouthed a 'thank you' to him before he went over to his side of the car and also stepped in. He started the car without wasting much time and drove off. They stopped at another fancy restaurant and they ordered something which was brought to their table almost immediately. They didn't waste much time as they started eating. After eating Dave paid the bills and they both left the restaurant. Dave drove her back to the office and led her into the office but by the lunch break was already over. Gina walked into the office with him and they both sat down.

"Well thanks for lunch, it was really tasty and I enjoyed it." Gina said,

"Well you are most welcome and I'm also glad you love it." He replied.

"Ok, I never knew they had such tasty meals in that restaurant." She said,

"I also didn't know until I first went there to eat." Dave replied.

"I guess I will be going there more often now." She said,

"Ok but remember to call me so I can always tag along anytime you are going." He told her.

"Yes I sure will." She smiled.

"Ok that's much better." He returned the smile and put his hands into his pants pocket.
