Chapter 24

Gina was finally done cooking after a while. She quickly dished out the food into a big bowl and also arranged two breakable plates and cutleries. She took the big bowl of food to the dining room and dropped it on the table before returning back to the kitchen to take the breakable plates, cutleries and glasses and went back to the dining room again. She set the table and glanced at it for a while. She felt satisfied with her work so she went back to the sitting room. Getting there Dave was already done with the fruit juice he was given and he was now focused on the TV in the wall.

"Are you done cooking now?" Dave asked, immediately he noticed Gina's presence in the sitting room.

"Yes, let's go to the dining room." She replied.

"Ok then," Dave said, and stood up on his feet. While Gina walked towards the glass and empty cans on the table.

"Go ahead, I will meet you there, I need to take this to the kitchen first." Gina told him, while taking up the glass and can from the table.

"Ok," Dave replied, and started making his way to the dining room.

While Gina held the glass tightly in her hand and also walked out of the sitting room. She went into the kitchen and dumped the empty can into the trash can before proceeding to wash up the glass but she stopped and just dropped it on the sink before leaving the kitchen. She entered the dining room and saw Dave already seated and he was waiting patiently for her to return from the kitchen. She moved closer and pulled out a chair for herself which she sat and dished out the food into their plates and they started eating immediately. They both ate in total silence for a while before Dave finally stood up after a while. He was actually done with his food. "I will be in the sitting room." He said, and she just nodded with a smile and went out of the dining room leaving just Gina who was still eating.

Gina ate fast after Dave had left her there because she wanted to go to him in the sitting room as soon as possible. She doesn't want to leave him alone all by himself in the sitting room. She took the last food in her plate into her hand and quickly chewed on it before pouring out water for herself. She took the water to her mouth and zipped it down her throat immediately before standing up for the chair she had been sitting on. She started packing up the dishes immediately as she quickly took them out of the dining room one after the other and dropped them in the sink. She sighed heavily and started washing them up. She was finally done washing after a while and she quickly arranged them into their place before walking out of the kitchen. She went back to the sitting room and walked straight to where Dave was seated in the sitting room and sat beside him.

"So tell me, what was your day like?" She asked with a smile plastered on her face.

"My day was actually very fine and yours?" Dave asked back.

"Mine was also good." Gina smiled.

"Ok,so baby have you thought of where we would be going for the vacation and when we would be going too?" Dave asked.

"Well about that, I haven't really given it much thought though but I think I have some few places in mind." Gina said,

"Ok, tell me about the place you have in mind,so I can help you pick which would be preferable and suitable for this vacation." Dave told her.

"Ok, I was actually thinking of California, Chicago and Las Vegas. So which do you prefer?" She asked.

"Well I think Chicago is fine." Dave answered.

"Ok then,we will go to Chicago then." She said,

"Ok but when,do you think we should go?" Dave asked curiously.

"I don't know when it will be convenient for you." She replied.

"Anything is convenient for me as long as it is about you, so just pick a day." Dave told her.

"Ahhh, that's so sweet of you," she smiled. And he didn't bother saying anything, he just smiled in return, and waited for her to say something else but she wasn't saying anything.

"So when did you say we are going? you haven't said anything yet." Dave said, breaking the silent between them.

"Oh my,so how about we go tomorrow? Do you think it's too early?" Gina asked.

"Not at all, tomorrow is perfect, I will get my things ready." Dave said, with a smile this time.

"Ok then, we will leave by noon tomorrow, I will book a flight in the morning for the both of us." She told him.

"Wow that's really good, I just can't wait for us to get to Chicago." Dave said, with excitement written all over him.

"Ok me too," Gina smiled.

"Alright then, I guess I should be on my way now, it's late already and I still need to get packed for tomorrow too." Dave said, and dropped the remote control he was holding as he prepared to stand up from his seat.

"Ok then, that's true, I should also pack up too." She replied, and Dave got on his feet.

Gina also got up and they both walked out of the house together. Gina saw him off to his car as they both shared a light kiss before he finally got into his car and drove off. Gina sighed and started walking back into her house. Immediately she got into the house she locked the door behind her immediately before she finally walked towards her table and took up her remote control to switch off the TV. She walked over to her room and went towards her closet and flipped it open as she took a bag and started packing up.
