Chapter 18

Gina gasped seeing that it was already midnight. It was midnight and of course she still has a little more work to do before even thinking of going to bed. Scott's number wasn't still reachable again when she tried it so it was Best if she finished with her work and went to bed. She was surely going to Scott's place tomorrow to look for him if she still didn't see him again in the office. She was already so worried about him and she can't help it anymore. She must hear from him tomorrow by any mist possible. She dropped back her cell phone and turned around and started walking back to the sitting room. She had her seat and continued from where she had stopped on the files. She worked for an hour again before she finally finished up with the work. She sighed in relief and used about thirty minutes to check all what she had been working on for hours now to ensure there was no mistake in the work she had been doing. After she was sure there was any form of mistake on the files. She stood up from the couch and yawned loudly.

Gina stretched herself for a while before she finally started packing up the files from the glass table. She took up her laptop alongside and turned off the lights in the sitting room before proceeding to her room. She continued walking until she got into her room. She went straight to her study table and dropped all the files she had been working on and her laptop there before moving away. She remembered she left the empty cans of the fruit juice and the empty plate on the table in the sitting room and decided to go back to take them from there. She walked back Into the sitting room and turned on the light before going towards the table to pick up the things she had left there before returning them to the kitchen. She went back into the sitting room and put out the lights again before going over to her room. She turned on the bedside lamp and put off the lights in her room before climbing into her bed. She quickly relaxed back on the bed and shut her eyes as sleep took her off almost immediately. She had been feeling sleepy before now but she had been trying to suppress it so she could finish up with her work schedule and now she was done and was now free to sleep.

Soon it was morning and Gina's eyes flipped open. It was almost 7:30am when she woke up and immediately she was up. Her eyes went straight to the wall clock in her room and she gasped and jumped out of her bed as she hurriedly went into the restroom. She took her toothbrush and added some toothpaste to it and quickly brushed her teeth before leaving. She headed straight into the bathroom and took her bath before hurrying out of there. She got dressed and was rushing over to the kitchen to make herself breakfast but stopped halfway. She remembered the files were needed as early as possible in the other firm and she can't bear to keep them waiting. It would be best if she skipped breakfast and got to the office immediately. She told herself and quickly turned around and hurried back to the room. She took up the files,her laptop, car keys and purse which was containing her cellphone and rushed out of the house. She got into her car immediately and she got to the garage and started driving out. She was heading to her office but decided not to go there yet but rather she should go and dropped the files to the other firm first before finally going over to her office.

She quickly turned the car over to the direction of the other firm and drove straight to the other firm. She parked her car outside the company and got down from her car with the files in her hand. She knocked on the gate and the security man there opened the gate. "Good morning ma'am," the security man greeted.

"Good morning, please is Mr Walter in?" She asked.

"Yes sure, please come in ma'am." The security man said, and gave way for her to walk in.

She got into the company compound and went straight in. She met the secretary there who called to inform her boss Mr Walter who in return asked Gina in. Gina walked straight into his office and stopped in front of him and dropped the files on his desk. "Good morning Mr Walter and here are the files." She said, and Mr Walter took them immediately.

"Good morning Gina, but you shouldn't have stressed yourself to bring them here, you should have probably sent your secretary instead." He said,

"Well actually my secretary has been away for a few days now." She replied.

"Ok but then, you should have sent someone else to the office instead of coming all the way here." He advised.

"I understand your concern though but I was thinking before they would think of getting a cab to come here it might be quite too late, because you actually sounded urgent on the phone yesterday,so I don't need anything that would delay you." Gina told him.

"Yes that's true and thanks so much I really appreciate it." Mr Walter said,

"You are most welcome, but I should be on my way now, I have some work to do in the office." Gina told him.

"Alright then bye and thanks again." He said,

"You are most welcome Mr Walter." She said, and gave him a handshake before she finally started walking out of his office. She continued walking until she was finally out of the office. She thanked the secretary on her way out and left the building. The security man greeted her again before she finally went over to her car and started it immediately.

She was already feeling so starving and her stomach kept clumming as she drove to her office. She couldn't bear it any longer so she stopped by a nearby restaurant and bought some food before she continued her drive to the office. She got to her company exactly at 9am and she quickly parked her car in the garage before getting down from it. She took up her laptop purse and the food she had bought on her way to the office and locked up the car before she continued walking into the office. Her staff were so surprised to see her walking into the office by that time. They all know her to always be punctual even though she doesn't work for anyone but they were really surprised to see her being late now. That wasn't the first time that was happening but they haven't really given it much thought but that day they could help it anymore but wonder what has gone wrong with their boss. They greeted her as usual and tried to be as cheerful as possible so she wouldn't notice that surprised face.

Gina actually knew that he staff were starting to wonder why she has started coming late to the office and they couldn't hide it because it was even in their voice while the greeted her. But she was going to change from now onwards she would make sure she doesn't go to the office late again no matter what. She responded to their various greeted as she continued walking to her office. She stopped by the door of her office and took out the keys and opened the door before walking into the office. She went straight to her table and dropped all what was on her hands before she proceeded to have her seat. She quickly opened the some bags that the restaurant waitress gave her and took food and the bottle of water. She could still heard the sound of her stomach clumped and took out the spoon and opened the food immediately and started eating without wasting much time.

She was finally done eating after a while. She drank some water before putting them back into the bag and she dropped them beside her on the floor. She breathed in relief before taking out a file on her desk and started working on it.

Meanwhile Dave was with his father and some of the rogue in a sitting room. He was seated on a couch comfortably while his glance was focused on his father. "Son, why haven't you gone to see your little girlfriend since this morning?" His father asked.

"Dad, I don't think I want to go and see her for now, I need a little break from seeing that little brat." Dave replied.

"No, you have to go and see her today, you remember we have plans and you decided to stay away from her for a while isn't going to be our plans,so you have to go." He advised.

"Ok but that won't be today, I need a little more time to be alone without seeing her." Dave said,

"No Dave we don't have all the time, you have to go to her as soon as possible, you need to earn her trust, because that's the only way to achieve our plans." He told him.

"Hmm," Dave exhaled. "It's ok Dad, I will go to see her by noon." Dave said,

"That's much better." He replied with a wicked smile.

"I should probably be in my room now." Dave said, and got up from the couch he was sitting on and slowly walked out of the sitting room.

He headed straight into his room and went to his bed and sat down. He wasn't really ready to go over to Gina's office right now because he was still very angry at her for what she did that night. He really wanted her and the fact she denied him access to her body really offered him. He could have just have s*x with her forcefully but he knew for sure that would also affected his plans to get her trust and of course she wouldn't want to have anything to do with him again and might even be afraid of him and go closer to that Scott but he doesn't want that to happen. Because even his father would be so angry at him because they have all been in the plans for a long time now so he had to just let her be. But now he was going to go back to her office again today but he wouldn't try to make any s****l advance towards her. He would just try to pretend that he wasn't upset over everything again and he has forgiven her.

He quickly climbed into his bed and laid down as he thought of how he was going to be with Gina without noticing the fact that he was still angry at her. He knows for sure that it wasn't going to be easy for him but he will have to try it out because his father has spoken and he can't try to disobey him. His father was the head and leader of the dangerous rogues group and everyone respects him so he can't afford to disrespect him even though he was his father. He has to respect him no matter what and also he knows for sure that his father won't spare him if he ever disobeyes him and ruins his plans of getting what he wants. He was actually a little scared of the man he calls his father because of his brutal ways. If not him he won't bother going to Gina's office for a very long time and keep his plans of getting her company into his name pending until he will be ready again to go ahead with the plans. He sighed heavily and shut his eyes as he tried to focus on something else.
