Chapter 15

Gina was heading to her office but as she walked by her staff, she heard them whispering among themselves and that made her feel even shy than ever and she decided to hastened up with her steps. She hoped she could get to her office as quickly as possible. After a while she finally arrived at her office door and she quickly opened it and stepped in. She locked the door behind her and rested her back on the door and sighed heavily. She relaxed back on the door for sometime before she finally started walking over to her chair. The got into her chair and quickly settled down on it and held her cheeks in her hand for a while. She relaxed back on the chair and swing it left and right for a while before she finally settled it and took up some files and resumed back into working on it.

She continued working until it was finally closing hour. And started packing up for the day. She was still packing up her file when the door flipped opened. She quickly raised her head from what she was doing to see who it was but gasped seeing Dave walking into her office.

"Hey baby, you are surprised to see me right?" Dave asked, and she continued to speak up, so she just nodded her head in response.

"Well baby, I was already missing you already and I just couldn't wait for you to go home before I came to see you,so that was why, I decided to come back to the office, because I know this is your closing hour." He explained.

"Oh ok then." She just faked a smile.

"Yes, I guess, I should probably help you with that, so we could head home earlier." He said,

"No, you don't need to worry about it, I'm almost done with it." She told him.

"Oh ok,if you say so." He said, and remained standing beside her desk, while Gina continued with her arrangements.

After a while she was finally done with the arrangements and she quickly grabbed a laptop,car keys and cellphone. "I'm done now, let's go." She said,

"Ok, I should probably help you with that." He replied, pointing out that laptop in her hands.

"No it's fine, I can handle that." She said,

"I insisted so please just hand it over." He replied.

"Ok, if you say so." She said, and gave the laptop to him.

He happily took the laptop from her and they both started walking out of the office. Immediately they got out of the office. She turned around and locked up the office while Dave just stood there waiting for her. She resumed walking again after a while and they both walked together to the packing garage. Dave followed her to her car and dropped the laptop on the passenger seat while Gina got into her car. "Where is your car?" Gina asked, after glancing around for his car.

"I parked it outside the gate." He replied.

"Oh ok, you should start going outside then." She said,

"Yes I'm already on my way." He replied and started walking out of the company.

Gina started her car and started driving out while the security man quickly opened the gate for her and waved her goodbye as she drove out of the compound . Dave was already in his car and he had also started it but he was just waiting for her to drive out. They both drove speedily into the busy road. After a while they arrived at Gina's gate and her gate keeper quickly opened the gate for them and they both drove in immediately and parked their cars in the garage. They both got down from the car and made their way to the main door. Gina stood at the main door and took out her keys from her purse and opened the door as they both went into the house. Dave had his seat on the couch while Gina took her laptop and purse to the room. She quickly dropped them off and started taking off her clothes as she walked over to the bathroom.

She quickly mixed a cold soapy water into her bathtub and got in. She relaxed back into the bathtub and her mind drifted off to Scott again. She misses him and wants to see him again but no he is no longer coming to the office. Should she probably go in search of him or what? She thought. Was it also wise to just give him some space for now. Those thoughts came into her mind. She doesn't really know what to do right now and she doesn't even know what to focus on or what to do at the moment. She just discovered she is in love with her secretary who also confessed love to her a couple of days ago but disappeared since then. Now she was actually in a relationship with her boyfriend whom she doesn't love anymore because she had noticed so many changes in him. And for the past few days he has been acting all loving towards her but her heart was totally somewhere else now. She wished she could just tell him off,so he could stop stalking her once and for all but she can't just jump into any conclusions until she meets Scott again. She was actually grateful that Dave has been around her for the past few days that Scott hasn't been around. If not she would have died of loneliness by now. But she hates the fact that Dave kissed her last night and also that afternoon. She wished she could just tell him not to think about that for sometime but no he would definitely get suspicious and besides he was still her boyfriend and it was unfair for her to tell him not to think of kissing her. Different thoughts kept running through her head as she remained seated on the bathtub. She used her hand in washing her skin slowly as she remained under the cold soapy water.

After a while she remembered that Dave was actually in her sitting room and he would be expecting her to come out of her room and moment. She sighed heavily and took up her shampoo and started washing her hair too. After washing it for a while she finally stopped and got out of the bathtub. She opened the lock and allowed the water to flow out before locking it back. She sighed and grabbed a towel and started using it to dry her body before tying it around her chest.

Gina walked into her room and quickly picked up a skin lotion and untied the towel from her chest before she started applying the skin lotion on her body. She proceeded to her closet and quickly picked out a short and t-shirt which she got dressed into and hurried out of her room. She still remembered Dave was in her sitting room and she knew for sure she had kept him waiting for a very long time. She walked into the sitting room to see him still seated on the couch but his eyes were fixed on the TV and he had a remote control in his hand. She stood in front of him. "I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting." She quickly apologized.

"It's ok, I totally understand, you were to have your bath." He said,

"Yes, I did, but I think I will have to leave you here alone again." She told him.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"It's not that I'm going out though but I need to make dinner." She replied.

"Oh ok," he said, calmly and she smiled.

"Don't tell me you actually thought I was heading out?" She asked.

"Actually the truth is,yes I thought you were heading out." He answered.

"That's funny to me, I can't actually go out dressed like this." She said, pointing at her outfit.

"Yes that's true, my bad, I didn't even look at you properly." He sighed, hitting his forehead softly.

"Anyways it's fine, I will have to go and make dinner now, I will be back soon." She said, and he just nodded before she started walking away.

She walked over to the kitchen and sighed softly before walking in fully. She quickly went towards the kitchen cabinets and flipped it open and took out what she needed to make them dinner. She sighed and started cooking. She took some other ingredients like tomatoes and peppers from the deep freeze and walked over to the sink where she was cooking. She quickly sliced them into smaller pieces and added them to her food. She remained in the kitchen for a while preparing the food until she was finally done.

Meanwhile Dave was still seated in the sitting room and his eyes were still fixed on the TV but his mind wasn't really there. He has actually spoken to his father about Scott and they were so ready to investigate him and know what he was into but for the past few days that his father and the other rogues were searching for him they haven't still found him. So he was actually thinking of asking Gina about him since she knows so much about him and they have been working together for a while. But he really doesn't know how to present the question to her. He was always around her for the past few days because he wanted to ensure that Scott didn't tell her anything about him and his rogues because it would really be bad if that happens. He wants Gina company for himself and he will only be able to achieve that by being super close with her so she wouldn't be suspicious of anything and trust him fully until he would finally have the perfect opportunity to eliminate her and take all her properties for himself. So he would keep playing nice and sweet towards her to ensure that she falls for him fully and trust him also more than anything else. Scott was actually a threat to him and he can't really wait for his father to get rid of him as soon as possible. He was still deep in his thoughts when Gina walked back into the sitting room. He didn't even notice her because he was so absent minded.

Gina sat on the hand of the couch beside him but he still didn't notice. " Hey, dinner is ready." She said, bringing him back to reality.

"Oh ok let's go." He quickly said, and tried standing up.

Gina also stood up and they both started walking out of the sitting room. They walked side by side in the dining room and had their seats. Gina smiled and started dishing out the food. They both ate in total silence. But while they were eating Dave had the urge to ask her about Scott but he quickly stopped himself from doing that because he knows that one he asked her that, she might not give him the answer he needed but she would end up asking him series of questions because of the question he has asked and he doesn't really have the time to answer the questions she was going to throw at him. So it was better if he just remained silent and not saying anything besides his father and the other rogues are actually after Scott now and soon they will definitely find him.

They were both done eating within a few minutes and Gina quickly took the dishes to the kitchen, and was about to wash them when Dave also came in and offered to help her out. She gasped but tried her best to hide it but Dave had already seen it even before she could make her face look normal. She refused at first but he kept insisting on helping her out that she had no other choice than to allow him help her.
