Chapter 19

Soon it was noon and Dave sat up from his bed. He had slept off while trying to focus on something else aside Gina but now he was awake. He climbed down from his bed as he started walking out of his room. He was actually feeling tasty,so he was going to the kitchen to get himself some water. But immediately as he walked into the sitting room he met his father who was seated on a couch. He had a glass of wine in his hand and a cigarette on the other hand. Dave didn't bother going closer to him but tried walking pass.

"Dave, aren't you going to see your little girlfriend now?" His father asked.

"No not really, I will probably go there later on." Dave replied.

"No Dave, I want you to go now,so she wouldn't think you are still upset with her." He advised.

"But Dad now late in the evening is almost the same as before . In a few hours we will be in the evening." Dave said,

"I said no, I want you to go now, because delay is dangerous." He told him.

"Ok dad, I will go immediately but I need to get just a glass of water from the refrigerator first." Dave said,

"Ok you can go." He replied.

"Alright but dad, that's me, how have you gone with the Scott of a boy I told you about?" Dave asked, but this time he was moving closer to where his father was seated on the couch.

"Well as for that boy,we haven't really found any traces about him since that day, I can actually say he left town and went far away." He answered.

"Ok Dad but they should keep an eye on him because he would definitely be a threat to our plans and we can't afford to make any mistakes, or have someone spoil our plans." Dave said,

"Ok I know about that and I'm on it, you just get prepared and go to her." He told him.

"Yes dad, I'm on it." Dave said, and turned around as he started walking over to the kitchen.

He walked into the kitchen and stood before sighed. He continued his walk to the refrigerator and flipped it opened before taking out a bottle of water. He grabbed a glass and poured out some content into the glass before zipping it down his throat. He returned the others back into the water and started walking out of the kitchen.

Meanwhile Gina was now on lunch break and she had already left for lunch. She was now in the fancy restaurant trying to get some food but decided to ask for a takeaway instead. She would like to go in search of Scott that day because she has been waiting for him to show up back at the office for days now but until now there was still no trace of him. So she was tired of waiting. She needed to go to him instead and asked him why he was absent from work for all those times and if possible confess her feelings to him too. She thought and quickly walked over to the waitress that had taken her orders and was now on her way to bring her orders. She caught up with her after some time and told her she needed the food on a takeaway because she was going somewhere and can't eat right now. The waitress nodded and continued her walk to bring back her orders. But after a while the waitress finally returned to her table with the food packed.

Gina took the food, thanked the waitress and paid for it before finally standing up to leave the restaurant. She finally left the restaurant and went back into her car. She drove to the address that Scott had given to her previous that he lives and got down from her car. She made her way into the neighborhood trying to locate his apartment.

Meanwhile Scott was actually in his house now. He came back there last night after spending some time in his pack. The time he had spent on his pack has really helped him forget a little about Gina's behavior towards him the last time. But deep down inside of him he still misses her and wants to go back to the office but he wasn't really to do that. For sure he loves her and she is also his mate but he can't let her keep playing with his feelings that way. He has decided to be alone for a while and he would definitely do that there was no need for him to be chasing after her when she made it clear to him that she loves her boyfriend. He doesn't need to feel hurt but her anymore,so it was best if she stayed away. But he knows she has so many enemies and he would try to protect her from all her enemies while he also keeps his distance from her. He was actually seated in his room and was dwelling in his thoughts when he knocked on his door and brought him back to reality. He sighed and quickly stood up on his feet and went towards the door.

He wondered if it was that was knocking on his door because he wasn't expecting any one and he isn't even willing to talk to anyone right now. He slowly opened the door and saw Gina standing there. He gasped and blinked his lashes and remained standing in the entrance to give way for her to go in.

"Aren't you going to let me?" She asked. Bringing him back to reality and his anger for her also returned.

"No, what do you want from me now?" He asked rudely.

"I just wanted to talk to you, please just let me in." She said,

"No, you aren't welcome here, just leave immediately." He replied rudely.

"B..ut." she stuttered.

"No but, just leave and go to your so-called boyfriend that you believe and trust so much." He said, angrily.

"Just let me in first and hear me out." She pleaded.

"No I'm not ready to hear any trash that you are about to say to me right now, you are my mate and that was why I have always been with you all this while but you took me for granted because of that boyfriend of yours, so just leave me alone." Scott told her.

"I didn't actually come here to quarrel with you, but just let me in first,so we could talk." Gina said,

"You can't come in here, my girlfriend is inside and she won't be happy to see you,so just get away from here." He lied, and he could see a little hurt in her face.

"I.. I.. thought." She stuttered.

"She is inside right now so you can just go now." He told her again. And she felt even more broken than ever. She quickly turned around and started walking away while Scott quickly shut his door and went back to have his seat.

Gina tears flowed down her eyes as she continued walking away. She couldn't help it but filled so hurt about what he had just said a while ago. She rushed over to her car and got in. The hurt was just too much for her to bear because she has just realized that she actually loves him so much more than she even thought. She got into her car and started it immediately as she quickly drove off. She can't stand it anymore, she regretted going to see him in his house. She was really excited to see him earlier after a while but he just ended up breaking her heart into pieces that can't be amended.

She drove her car into the company compound and parked it in the garage and remained seated in the car as she buried her head in the stars and cried her eyes out. She didn't feel like going out of the car; she just continued crying there. Now she knows she has lost Scott to another woman and she doesn't know what to do now. Was Scott really right when he saw Dave was evil and a bad person or did he really just say all that to make her hate him and break up with him so she could date him? Those questions popped into her head as she continued crying in the car.

Meanwhile Dave has been waiting for her in her office since all those while. He has gotten dressed and left his house like his father instructed him. And right now he was in her office for a while now and he was still waiting for her to show up anytime soon. He didn't really meet anyone in the office when he went in so he knew that they had all gone for lunch. He actually wanted to go over to the fancy restaurant he took Gina to when he was still coming to see her regularly but decided to stay back at her office and wait for her because he doesn't want them to miss each other on the way. He was a little worried why she hadn't returned yet but all her staff had already returned a long time ago but until now Gina was still out there. He was starting to get impatient and he grabbed his car keys to go in search of her. But just then he heard footsteps approaching and nextly the door flipped open and Gina walked in.

"Dave, you are here." She said, seeing him standing there.

"Yes I'm here, I was actually.." he was saying but Gina interrupted her with a hug making him surprised.

She remains in the hug for a while before disengaging. "I miss you Dave and I'm sorry for what I did the other day." She apologized to him.

"It's fine I didn't keep it in my mind and besides I have already forgiven you since that was why I came over." Dave said,

"Ok thank you so much, I really appreciate it." She replied and hugged him one more time. He patted her back softly before they finally disengaged from the hug.

"So where have you been, I have been waiting for you since ages here." He said,

"Oh, I'm so sorry about that, there was actually traffic on my way coming to a restaurant so that's why I couldn't even sit to eat there because I know I was late already." She lied.

"Oh, I see." He sighed.

"Yes," she smiled.

They both walked to the chair and Gina had her seat while Dave also did the same. She put the food on the table and opened it. "Do you care to join me?" She asked.

"No not at all, just eat up." Dave said,

"Ok, I actually want us to go on a vacation for a few days, since we have finally gotten back together." She suggested.

"Oh Ok, but why do you suddenly want us to go on a vacation?" Dave asked.

"The truth is lately I haven't really been feeling too comfortable because of my company and that was why I was always acting up,so I don't want to do that again and getting away from her for a while will really help me a lot." She explained.

"Ok then,if you want that, then we will definitely go on a trip then." He said,

"Ok thanks, I love you Dave." She smiled.

"I love you too, so now eat up." He replied. And she just smiled and continued with the food she was eating.

They both started talking about other random things as Gina continued eating. Honestly she was still very sad and heart broken from what happened between her and Scott but she was a little relieved that Dave had finally forgiven her and was now there with her to comfort her at least she wouldn't be lonely anymore.
