After getting Gina's coffee, Scott rushed to go to Gina's office to tell her that Dave was a part of the rogues. People watched Scott with urgency as he passed time so quickly like something was going to happen. Samantha Gordon, who was a secretary called out to him but he ignored her. Scott knew there was something fishy about him and while he was getting the coffee he came up with a theory.
Maybe the reason why he had no luck in finding the rogues was that they moved to Australia with Dave following them. It was obvious because when he was still in Kansas he had gotten word that the rogues were in New Orleans. And when he got there, Dave was around and when he disappeared it was hard to find the rogues and when he came back, there were lots of things hinting at the rogues being in New Orleans. The man who killed himself and that symbol, the same symbol that he saw on Dave's hand.
Scott had to tell Gina immediately.
He didn't even bother to knock, he just barged into the office and caught them laughing at smiling at each other. Scott noticed he had startled both of them.
"Hey! Don't you knock? Gina, what's wrong with your PA?"
"He normally knocks," Gina said, as he looked at Scott quizzically. Scott had placed the coffee on the table.
"We need to talk Gina, privately."
"What?" Dave sounded insulted. "Can't you see we're in the middle of something?"
"It's urgent." He said with all seriousness. Gina was surprised by his sudden urgency. He saw that Dave wasn't going to budge but then she got up to tell Dave to excuse them and he could come back later. Gina thought that maybe Scott had information about Barbara.
Dave refused to move.
"Please," Gina begged and he growled before he could get up from the chair, he gave Scott an evil glare and flashed his eyes before leaving.
Scott knew that look, every time a werewolf showed the true color of their eyes when they're angry. Well, Scott didn't care because he was angrier. That guy was working for people who had killed his parents. And all he wanted was revenge.
"Scott, whatsup?"
Scott didn't know how to tell her this, he didn't know how to put it in words that hee boyfriend was working for a pack that killed people for fun. He just has to say it, because she might be in danger.
"Scott." She called his name. She could see that he looked worried. "Is it Barbara?"
"No." He said, still pacing around.
"Then what? Did you find the rogues?"
"Yes." He stopped and took a deep breath. "it's Dave." Scott finally said and Gina put on a confused look.
"What?" She said.
"Yes Dave, he's a part of the pack. Dave's a werewolf, Gina."
Gina looked at him like he was crazy. Of course, Scott knew she would look at him like that, he knew he wouldn't believe him because she had known Dave all his life, and she had only known Scott for seven years of course she wouldn't believe him.
"That's insane, Dave's not a werewolf and neither is he a killer." She folded her arms.
Thank God Scott was wise enough to put wolfsbane around Gina's office. If wolfsbane is in a building then a werewolf couldn't hear the conversation coming from another room. So right now Dave couldn't hear his and Gina's conversation.
"Gina I am telling you, Dave's a werewolf and he's a part of the rogue pack. I saw the tattoo on his wrist." When he saw that she was shaking his head he raised his voice. "why aren't you listening to me and why would I make all this up? Dave is a werewolf and I'm sorry I haven't told you this sooner but I didn't want to tell you because it wasn't my secret to share. Dave is a werewolf—"
"Stop." Gina shook her head some more.
"—Dave is a killer."
"I said stop."
"And he works with the people that killed my parents." Scott received a slap on the face. Gina had slapped him and she looked pissed off for accusing her boyfriend of being a beast and a murderer. Scott looked at Gina in shock. Gina had never gotten so angry at him like this before, he had never received a slap from anyone either. Sure it didn't hurt because he was a werewolf, werewolves barely felt pain when it came to humans hitting them but still it hurt him emotionally.
"I told you he's not a werewolf." She said, tears already forming in her eyes. "I've known him for years, I would have known."
"You think he'd tell you? Gina I've been your PA for seven years I wouldn't have told you I was a werewolf the reason why you know in the first place was that I got caught."
"Sorry." She quickly wiped the tears off her face. "he's not a werewolf." Scott knew trying to convince her was hard but he didn't know it was going to be this hard.
"Why are you defending him? He left you and you're still defending him."
"Well, it's because he's my boyfriend and I love him." She yelled and Scott knew that no amount of wolfsbane could keep Dave from hearing the yelling but Scott didn't care anymore.
"Well, I love you!" He blurted out and he didn't regret saying it. Gina looked at him in shock, she couldn't believe her ears. "I'm in love with you Gina, I've been in love with you since I got here. You deserve better than that guy."
"So this is what all this is about? You're jealous is that why you're lying against him?"
"Why on earth would I lie against him, Gina?"
"Yes, because you just said you loved me. And you can't stand me being happy with him."
"That's not true."
"Yes, it is!"
Scott was taken aback by how she yelled at him. It was obvious she wasn't going to believe her. Like she said she loved Dave. But Scott wanted to know one thing.
"Then why did you kiss me?" Gina was taken aback by that question but she didn't want to show it so she folded her arms and looked him straight in the eye.
"It was an accident. I was drunk." She said and Scott began to nod, he scoffed and he walked away. Leaving Gina extremely heartbroken.
Scott wanted to get out of here, he didn't want to be in the building anymore. On his way out he saw Dave talking to one of the staff, he didn't care what he was doing so he went past him and walked out.
Dave saw him leave the building angrily. He excused himself from talking to the staff and picked up his phone from his pocket and dialed a number.
"Hello, yeah it's me. I was just wondering do you know any guy called Scott Rogers?" There was a pause. "I thought as much, yeah I think that guy's gonna be a problem. We have to tell the boss, my father will know how to handle him."
