Chapter 28

"No son, you shouldn't do that." Dave's father said, "Why not that?" Dave asked, with a raise of brows. "As long as we have our plans at hand, you don't need to make your client feel suspicious no matter what, you need to make them happy at every given time and that would help you full then even more." He said, "Ok, whatever dad." Dave sighed, frustrated. "Yes son,so go in there and get ready to go and see her straight away." He told him. "Hmm," Dave exhaled. "Ok, I will but just fill me in with some of the details about your attack on that pack, I really want to know." Dave said, walking towards a couch. "Not now son, when you return from seeing your little girlfriend, besides we have plenty of time to talk then,so start going." He told him. Dave frowned immediately and started walking over to his room. He knew that his father's word was finally and there was nothing he could ever say to make him change his mind and tell him back how the mission went. So there was no need for him to waste his time still pleading with him to tell him about it. He was going to ask him about it again when he got back from Gina's place. He wasn't really happy right now and he wished he could just stay back but that's not possible as long as his father has told him to go there. Now he has to start again with his usual pretended smile that he always had on his face whenever he was with Gina but nevertheless he was happy that he would soon stop seeing her after all his plans had been achieved. At least the time is close now and he doesn't have to wait for ages anymore. But he won't be staying too long with her since it was already evening. He would just look for a good excuse to leave her as soon as possible and returned home to hear all the gist about the mission his father and his rogues had gone to. He just couldn't help it but needed to hear it. He was really so curious and all those killings and stories of killing make him happy. He went straight to his closet and flipped it open before taking out some clothes which he quickly got dressed into. He took up his mobile phone and car keys before leaving his room. He walked back into the sitting room and saw his father and his rogues still there celebrating, so he knew that the story would be so nice to his hearing tonight when he returns and he just couldn't wait to return. "I'm off dad." Dave said, "Ok son,see you later." His father replied, before he finally walked out of the sitting room. He went straight to the garage and got into his car and started it immediately. He drove out of his compound and went speedily into the highway. Soon he was finally in Gina's place. The security man there opened the gate for him and he drove his car in. He got down from his car and locked it up, before walking to the main door. He stood in front of the door and rang the doorbell. Gina who was still in the kitchen heard the doorbell and wondered who it was. But soon she knew who it was as she smiled and walked out of her kitchen. Her food was already ready by then. She opened her door and saw Dave standing there. "Hi." She smiled. "Hey, how are you?" Dave asked, trying to fake a smile. "I'm fine, please come in." Gina said, and gave way for him to walk in, which he did. They both walked over to a couch and sat. "I have really seen you since this morning,so I thought you had forgotten about me, since we didn't travel today." Gina said, "Oh, I'm so sorry about that, I was actually busy all day, and mind you, I can never forget about you." Dave told her. "Ok that's a relief, I actually thought you did but I'm glad you didn't and also happy you are here now, honestly I have really missed you." She said, "Ahhh, I'm finally here now." Dave replied. "Yes I know, but anyways it's totally good." She smiled. "Yes." He replied. "Well, I just actually finished cooking dinner and I was about heading to my room to grab my cell phone to call you." She said, "Oh ok," Dave replied. "Anyway I don't know if you have had dinner before, I was just about to go and also have dinner." She said, "Well it's your lucky day, I haven't had dinner,so we can go ahead and have dinner together." Dave told her. "Ok that's fine then, I should probably go and set the table, I will be right back." She smiled and stood up from beside him and started walking out of the sitting room. Dave watched her as she left and also took up the remote control when she was finally out of his sight. He turned on the TV and stood watching the first movie to be shown. He could tell that she hasn't really had time to relax back in her sitting room since she returned from the office. He doesn't really care though. He just wanted to spend a little time at her place like his father had instructed and returned home to listen to the story he had been dying to hear. Honestly he wished as he was seated right there in the sitting room, he could just stand up right away and start walking out of her house. But that wasn't right,so he had to just endure and stay with her for a while before finally leaving. He would just spend just a few minutes with her after they have both eaten the food she made.
