Chapter 13

Dave brought out a necklace he had brought for Gina from his pants pocket and raised it's up. "Here baby, I got this for you." He said, with a smile plastered on his face. Gina who wasn't expecting it gasped when she saw the beautiful silver necklace.

"Wow thank you," she smiled and stretched her hand to take it.

"Why don't I wear it on you myself." He said,

"Ok please do." She replied with a smile. And Dave stood up on his feet and walked closer to Gina. He put the necklace around her neck and went back to sit again.

"Wow this is so beautiful, thank you so much." She smiled while holding the necklace with her hand and stared at it.

"You are welcome baby, I just actually thought I get you something since it's been long I got you a gift." Dave said,

"Wow thank you." She replied.

"Hopefully you like my gift to you?" He asked.

"I don't like it, I really love it, thank you so much again." She said,

"You are most welcome baby and I'm also glad you love you." Dave replied.

"Yes I do love it." She smiled.

"Ok that's good. So I guess I should probably allow you work now, I would come by the house later this evening." He said,

"Ok I will love that." She replied.

"Alright then, I will see you later." Dave said, and stood up on his feet.

"Yes bye." She waved at him before he finally walked out of her office. She smiled again and glance at the necklace one more time before focusing her attention on the files she was actually working on before now.

She continued walking for hours until it was finally closing hours. She quickly started arranging the files on her desk and started preparing to leave the office. She came across a file that Scott has helped her sign and her mind went to Scott again. During the day Dave has helped her get a little distracted from the thought of Scott but now she was back to his thoughts all over again. She wished she could just see him right now, she wouldn't hesitate to kiss him straight away. She hoped he forgets about what she said to him and just returned back to the office tomorrow morning. She actually missed him and she wants him back to the office as soon as possible too. She heavied a sighed and took up her purse,car keys and laptop and started walking out of her office.

She locked up the door of her office and proceeded out of the building. She got to the parking lot and opened her car. She put in her purse and laptop on the passager seat before getting into the driver seat. She started her car and drove off immediately. She drove into her compound and her security man quickly opened the gate for her as she drove into the compound and parked her car on the garage before enlightened from it. She took out her purse and laptop before locking up the door. She started walking towards the main door. She stood by the door and unlock it before getting into the house. She dropped her purse and laptop on the glass table and sat tiredly on the couch. She relaxed back on it for a while before she finally starting taking off her shoes. She stood up and took up her purse and laptop again and started walking over to her room. She dropped them on her study table and started taking off her clothes as she walked over to her bathroom.

She knew within her that Dave would be there within a few minutes because whenever he saw he was going to see her in the evening he doesn't take him much time to arrive there. She wasn't really interested in having Dave around her now but she knew he would never understand if she ever ask him for a time off for a while. He was going to totally misunderstood her and she wasn't ready for what would come next,so she just try her possible Best to accommodate him whenever he was around her. She really needed so time alone though to think straight, but should can't get that time she needs when Dave was always around. So all should could do was just to listen to Dave and give him attention.

She stayed on her bathroom for a while before finally coming out with a towel tied around her chest but just then she heard her door bell and frowned immediately. She already knows who it's was and now she just has to welcome him in. But she can't just go and opened the door right away she needed to wear some clothes. She quickly dried her body with the towel and dropped it on the chair there before rushing to her closet. She picked out a short and loosed t-shirt before taking out her panties. She quickly got dressed into it and started walking out of her room.

Dave was standing outside the house with a flower in his hand. He had rang the doorbell several times but Gina hasn't opened up yet. He was actually getting a little tired of waiting. He walked over to the security man by the gate and asked him if Gina was truly in. The security man confirm it that she was in and he also saw her car parked on the garage but he kept wondering why she hasn't come down to open the door for him or was she avoiding him now and doesn't want to see him. Thought those ran through his head as he went back to the door. He was about ringing the doorbell again when the door cracked opened revealing Gina.

"Hey good evening baby." He said,

"Good evening, I'm sorry I kept you waiting, please come in." She said, with a smile plastered on her face. He heavied a sighed and slowly walked in.

"I actually thought you didn't want to see me that was why you didn't come and open the door all the while, I was ringing the doorbell." He told her.

"No not at all it's was that way, I was actually having my bath when I first heard the doorbell. So I had to just hurry up before coming to open the door, I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting." She apologized, while they both had their seats.

"It's fine then, I actually thought it's was something else." He sighed.

"No not at all,so are those for me?" She asked pointing at the flowers in his hand.

"Yes, pardon me." He said, and stretched the flowers to her.

"No it fine." She replied and took it from him.

"These are so beautiful." She said, taking in the scent of the flowers in her hand.

"Yes." He just simply replied.

"Ok,so what can I get you?" She asked.

"Anything you want." He replied.

"Ok," she said and started walking away.

She took the flowers with her to the kitchen and dropped it before taking up a fruit juice from the refrigerator and took a glass alongside as she slowly walked out of the kitchen. She dropped it on the glass table and opened the fruit juice and poured out some into the glass and handed it over to him. He mouthed a 'thank you' to her and started drinking it.

"I should probably make us dinner." She said, and started walking away. She walked back into the kitchen and took up the flowers and went over to her room to keep it back. She returned back to the kitchen and started taking out all she would be needed to cook them dinner. She started cooking immediately. After making dinner she took it to the dining room and set the table before returning to the sitting room to get Dave was was not watching a movie on the TV.

"Dinner is served,so let's go over to the dining room immediately." She said with smiles and he quickly stood up and started walking besides her. She led him to the dining room and they both had their seats in the dining room. Gina quickly dished out the food and they both started eating immediately. After eating Gina took the dishes to the kitchen and washed them off before returning to the sitting room to be with Dave. They both spent some time together and Dave ended up kissing her roughly. She wasn't really happy about the kiss but just decided to play along. They both kissed for a while and Dave started taking out her clothes because he was getting carried away with the kiss but Gina quickly stopped him with the excused she wasn't ready for any intimacy right now. She apologized to Dave and pleaded with him to try and understand her.

"It's fine, I understand you ok." Dave had assured her but deep down inside of him he was actually angry. Even Gina felt he was still angry and continued apologizing but he kept saying he was fine and he wasn't angry in anyway. She sighed and decided to let him be.

They both sat together in the couch and focused their glances on the TV. They continued watching the movie on display for a while before Dave finally told her he would like to head home. She agreed immediately and stood up to accompany him to his car. Dave also stood up and they both went to his car. She kissed him on the cheeks and apologized again before he finally got into his car and drove off. She sighed immediately he left and started walking back in and she got into her house and quickly locked up the door before proceeding into her kitchen. She took a glass and opened her refrigerator and took out a bottle of water which she opened and poured out some into the glass in her hand. She returned the others into the refrigerator and shut it back before zipping the cold water down her throat. She returned the glass and started walking out of her kitchen. She turned off the TV in the sitting room and made her way over to her room. She quickly put out the lights and turned on the bedside lamp before climbing into her bed. She was actually grateful that Dave had come over earlier or else she would have been dwelling in her thoughts of Scott. She knows for sure that she doesn't love Dave that much but he was like a distraction to her from her thoughts of Scott. She knew she had hurt him and the guilt was eating her up but she was just trying to be strong and not think too much about it. She relaxed back on her bed and pulled the duvet over herself and shut her eyes to sleep.

Soon it was morning again and she was already up early. She didn't have so much to think about throughout the night so she was able to sleep soundly for the night. She got up from her bed and started her preparation to go to the office. She had her bath, made herself breakfast and ate before taking up her laptop, purse and car keys. She left the house immediately she hoped that Dave wouldn't take what happened between them seriously and store up anger in his heart towards her. Because she can't afford to see the two guys in her life angry with her. She drove her car into her company and parked it before getting down from it. She made her way straight to her office. Some of her staff greeted her as she walked by and she replied to them cheerfully before finally walking into her office. She dropped her laptop and purse on the table and took up the files she has left undone yesterday.
