“I do not hate emotions,” Adrian’s voice called again. Amelia yelled upward immediately— “YOU’RE LITERALLY EAVESDROPPING.” Silence. Then calmly— “This is my apartment.” I buried my face into the blanket laughing. Two minutes later Adrian finally came downstairs wearing dark sweatpants and a black long-sleeved shirt with damp hair slightly falling over his forehead. And honestly? Rude. Just offensively attractive for no reason. Amelia saw me staring.
