—Bella POV—
It was like the air suddenly felt heavy and my heart started pounding. I had trouble breathing and I didn’t understand why. That is, until I heard him.
“Do you wanna dance?” The stranger asked as he approached me holding out his hand. Only he wasn’t a stranger, well he was in every sense of the word, but I knew him, I could feel it. I knew him without knowing him. He was shirtless in blue jeans with a shaved head and abs you could bounce a nickel off of. He looked more like a Calvin Klein model than some rando at a club.
“Yes” I gasped out trying to control my heart beat that just started pounding even faster at his voice. Who was he and why was I feeling like this? Taking his hand I suddenly felt a jolt, looking at his ocean blue eyes widen I could tell he felt it too. It was like a dream. As we moved to the middle of the dance floor, we became nothing but hands and mouths all over each other while still trying to dance. This wasn’t normal, I wasn’t like this.
“Do you even know my age?” I asked as I moved his hand up from trying to go under my dress. I had to break away. This isn’t me.
“Well I should hope you’re at least 16 considering you’re in here” he shouts over the music before pulling me back towards where I was sitting before sitting there himself to talk.
I couldn’t help it, the moment he sat down I climbed on top of him, straddling him with my legs tight around his back. It wasn’t until one of the security people told us that we couldn’t just sit and make out did we start walking around the edge of the dance floor talking, still holding hands tight as if when we let go the other would disappear.
His name was Leon Salsstar and he was here with his brother. Neither lived in town but he went to college here and had heard of the party from one of his friends. He’d come up to me because he saw me and just couldn’t look away.
“Bella Hamil” I said turning to face him and placing another kiss on those lips that felt like belonged only to me. Kissing him deeper I knew then and there that if he asked, I would go home with him without a second thought. And he’d started to take me towards the door. That is until-
“THERE YOU ARE!!” Lizzie exclaimed shocked to see me liplocked with someone, grabbing my wrist and pulling me away. “Come with me, I need to use the bathroom” she drug me towards the women’s restroom and just like that, the moment we were out of the same room, the connection was broken. I couldn’t even remember what he looked like. Just those blue eyes that called to me.
“What do you think you were doing??” Lizzie shouted the moment we got into the bathroom. I looked back at her confused, weren’t we here to have fun? Why was she angry?
“I-I I was going to go home with him and his brother. Their dad was picking them up soon and I-“ I what? I was about to leave with a total stranger without even telling my friend where I was going or introducing them? What was happening to me? I wasn’t this reckless” T-thank you for finding me, I think I got caught up in the party haze”
“Go find him and say goodbye, we’re leaving” Lizzie sighed, looking at me as if I’d lost my mind or had been drugged. “But I’m coming with you, honestly” she shook her head as if disappointed.
Leaving the bathroom while holding on to Lizzie’s hand so I didn’t get lost In the crowd I tried to find him, I tried to feel him. But the energy was gone. I felt completely drained and I realized I wouldn’t know if it was him without seeing his eyes anyway and there were just too many people here. “Let’s just go.” I sighed heading back towards the door. What WAS wrong with me?
