Mark pulled up in front of the police station to see a black SUV parked in his spot. Lacy’s tracker and Carmen’s cruiser were off to the side. His anxiety built at what felt like another thing coming out of left field. As soon as he walked through the door, both Lacy and Carmen stared his way from where they stood at Lacy’s desk.
