Chapter Nine It was pitch black outside as Mark sat in the back of the club cab pickup. He knew it was close to midnight, but he didn’t have a clue where they were. Somewhere in Idaho, the middle of f*****g nowhere. “So how much farther?” he said to the man behind the wheel, who wore a wool pullover and jeans. He was pretty sure he was military, but which branch, he didn’t know. What was his name again, Gopher? “A couple miles. So I heard you have a pregnant wife.
