CHAPTER FOUR
There was no way on earth Alan Silver was going to be late. When Saturday arrived, he told the scout leader he wasn't feeling well, and once the scouts were on their way to the picnic, he went to the bathroom and washed himself all over, making sure he didn't miss a single spot on his body. Then he put on his T-shirt and his shorts, not bothering with any underwear, and at twelve forty five, he began to walk to the Rogar house. He walked very, very slowly, but still got there a good twenty minutes before he was due. So he waited down the block and across the street, watching to see if anyone either entered or left the house.
