Chapter Two

"I don't want to go to school" shouted Paul, Sarah's younger brother as his mother took him downstairs for breakfast. There, they already met Sarah who was having breakfast. Their dad had earlier gone to work because he had an appointment with his clients.

"Eat up, Paul. Don't cry. You'll soon be late for school" said Sarah finishing her breakfast.

Paul was just 6 years old. He was a boy of great imagination but sometimes he usually disturbed his mother.

"Well, while you're waiting" said Sarah's mother. "Not the conversation, please" said Sarah. "Ok. I won't" said Mrs Smith.

"Let's go to school. We're running late" said Sarah holding Paul's hand immediately he finished breakfast. "Bye mom" said Sarah and Paul in unison as if they had earlier planned it. "Bye children" said Mrs Smith.

[PAUL'S BREAK TIME IN SCHOOL]

Paul, being a Primary 2 boy in Great Risers Nursery and Primary school, a school not far from their home is very playful. "John, let's play Hide and Seek" said Paul. "Ok. I hide then you seek. If you find me, then you hide and I seek" said John. "Ok. Let's play. 1.. 2.. 3.. 4 5 6..7 8 9..10. Ready or not. Here I come" said Paul to his friend, John. They played till the break was over.

[SARAH'S BREAK TIME IN SCHOOL]

Sarah and Paul were in different schools but the distance between them is a stonethrow. The time Great Risers Nursery and Primary School finish break, that is when Best Stars College start their's.

Sarah, being in SS3, had lots of things to do concerning her exams. She always ate and studied because she knew 'Hardwork is the key to success'. All the girls in the class were her friends and they include: Ella, Mira, Julia, Marinette, Charlotte and Chloe, but her best friend was Marinette.

"Sarah, Sarah" shouted Marinette as she came to meet her in the library. "Stop making a noise. People are studying" said the librarian. "I'm sorry ma" apologized Marinette. "Why were you shouting my name" asked Sarah. "You know, the top 3 coolest guys in class that all girls in the class are dying for. Well, except you. They like you. I overheard them talking about you. Only one of them likes you anyway and that's Craig. He said he was going to ask you to be his girlfriend on Saturday. That's Valentine Day. He said if you say yes, you'll both go on a date that same day to a very expensive restaurant. He has told everyone in the class to be there because I told him you're coming to my house and my parents won't be around. He even asked me what you love most. So I came to ask you because I don't know. I'm not supposed to tell you but you know I can't conceal a secret" said Marinette with mixed feelings because she also liked Craig. "Marinette. You've committed 2 offences.

Offense 1: You know I don't like Craig or anyone in the class, so why are you helping in his heartbreak?

Offense 2: As my best friend, you don't know what I love the most, I'm highly disappointed in you, girl. Highly disappointed.

And as for my answer, you know me. I'll say no. I'm not telling you what I love the most" said Sarah standing up leaving Marinette.

"What's wrong with her? How I wish I had this opportunity" said Marinette angrily as she also stood up and left the library.
