Before heading home, I itched to make one last stop by the yacht club. Various voices in my head (including Mike and Richard) protested, but I told them it was daylight and I was driving a different car. Besides, they had a very nice restroom there, and I had a long drive ahead. I hoped to run into Susan again. Terry Steinway would have been told about his wife by now, but I wasn’t sure whether her friends would know. Breaking the news to someone who actually cared about Elise Steinway (unlike her husband) wouldn’t be easy, but getting Susan’s take on what had been going on in Elise’s life could be helpful.
