Chapter 7

806 Words
Lissa changed into a big t-shirt then brushed her teeth and climbed into bed. But she couldn’t sleep. Her body betrayed her, still feeling his lips on hers, his hands on her breast and thighs…his hardness rubbing on her behind, how it felt to have her legs wrapped around him. Holy crap!  It’s not like she’s a virgin. She had s*x once before. She’d known Sean since they were 4. He lived 3 hours away in the next state, but they saw each other once a year when his family would come to visit. They were good friends, and last summer they decided to lose their virginity together. It hurt a little, but he was sweet and gentle. It was special and she doesn’t regret it. But there was no passion. No comparison to the way Dan makes her feel with the slightest touch. Her body is tingly all over again just thinking about him. Ugh! I really need to sleep! She rolled onto her back and tried her meditation technique, breathing deeply and focusing on relaxing one part of her body at a time. Soon she drifted off. *** The sun was shining through Lissa’s curtains when she woke up to the sound of a vacuum. “Hey sleepy head, rise and shine! You don’t want to keep Dan waiting!” mom called to her from the hallway. Lissa sat up and looked at the clock in a panic, it’s already 9:30!  Guess taking a long relaxing bath is out of the question. She tied her hair up in a messy bun and took a fast shower, slowing down just enough to shave carefully. Then she rubbed on her favorite coconut scented body lotion and spritzed Vanilla Fields perfume on her neck and wrists. Since the sun is shining again today, she wore her favorite dress and pumps, and grabbed a cardigan for later as she heard mom answering the door. “Hi, Dan. Come on in. Lissa will be out soon.” “Good morning Mrs. Andersen. Nice to see you again.” Lissa took a deep breath and walked down the hall, then plastered a smile on her face and nervously stepped out into the sitting room. Dan's jaw dropped. His heart started pounding. She looked so beautiful, with her hair up like that showing off her long neck. The pale blue dress hugged her curves and floated around her long legs as she walked over to him with a smile. Her mom laughed and shook her head as she walked away. “You two have fun today, but be careful ok?” and went back to the kitchen where she was cleaning. “Hello gorgeous” he said offering her his arm. “Shall we?” She nodded and l placed her hand in the crook of his arm. “Yes, let’s go. Are you hungry? I’m famished!” Oh babe, you have no idea… He helped her into his car, then ran around and to the driver’s side and buckled in and headed back toward town.  He rested his hand on her knee and felt her shiver.  Damn, she’s affected as much as I am.  He grinned to himself. “I thought we could pick up some pastries and go to the park?  Then later we can grab some lunch.” She struggled to concentrate, as his hand caressed her bare thigh.  “Uh, yeah…s-sounds good!”  Great, I’m stuttering.  It took only 5 minutes to get to the bakery, but she thought she was going to lose her mind.  When he finally parked the car and got out, she could breathe.  She knew he was going to open her door, so that gave her a chance to compose herself.  But after she got out of the car, he placed his hand on the small of her back and she melted again.  At this rate, how will I ever get through this date? Jensen’s was the best bakery in town, and it was very popular in the mornings.  Thankfully, there was still a good selection even though it was already 10:30AM on a Saturday. They picked out a half dozen of their favorite pastries, and she asked for an iced caramel frappe. “Where are you two headed this fine day?” asked Mr. Jensen, smiling at them while making her frappe. “I’m taking this lovely lady for a walk in the park, sir.” Dan replied. “Sounds very romantic!” said his wife, as she placed their pastries in a box. She winked at Lissa, who blushed.  “I certainly hope so,” he said and handed over some cash. Then he carried the box while Lissa sipped her drink. It was only a few blocks from there to the park, and Dan pulled up where they would be near the large pond.  They sat on a bench together, talking and eating their pastries. She admired the scenery, watching the swans swimming on the pond.  “It’s a beautiful view.” “Yes, it is,” Dan answered, but he was only looking at Lissa.
