Chapter 41: A Man's Feelings for His Idealized Love
Rupert Washington and Hardy Michelson had just gone through an intense fight.
Both were injured to varying degrees.
Hardy Michelson had a swollen lip, a large bruise on his face, and a scrape on his calf. His assistant had already arrived and was tending to him.
Rupert Washington fared slightly better, with only a bit of bruising around his eye.
But the bruise made his expression even darker.
He listened to Elizabeth Black's words, disbelief written all over his face.
"Are you blaming me for impulsively hitting him?"
Rupert Washington stared at Elizabeth Black and asked.
Elizabeth Black's mind was still replaying the words Rupert Washington had said when he challenged Hardy Michelson to a fight.
