Jonas Owen was in the middle of doing something bad when he heard someone knocking on the door, which gave him a fright.
"Who is it?"
"Who's calling for their wife outside?"
In his panic, he lost control of his grip.
Elizabeth Black pulled his hand away and shouted, "Husband, help me!"
Without a second thought, Jonas Owen clamped his hand over Elizabeth Black's mouth again, but he was sweating profusely from the scare.
