About eighteen long years have passed. They're probably the longest eighteen years that I have ever lived. So long, in fact, that I dare compare them to human years.
But it was all a necessity. A horrible, daunting and boring part of our lives that we needed to live to make sure things were as good as they needed to be.
Wake up, coffee, train, work, coffee, home, dinner, prepare for meetings, and even more coffee. Throw in a few naked moments when we could.
Levi came over when he dared to, and we talked every chance our lives allowed. I usually wasn't one for doing distance-type relationships, but it was worth it .... he was with it. And what we were planning for our people would be worth it. If it didn't kill us, that is.
