The Alpha’s Surprising Mate

Chapter Five

Hello lovelies! This chapter has an attempted SA scene! I will put *** when it’s starting and *** when it ends!

Lilliana’s P.O.V

The alpha’s mate?! There was no way. He had to of been mistaken. I didn’t feel anything, I mean yes he’s devastatingly handsome but I’m sure all the she wolves could agree! Although it does explain his reaction to Kai.

Kai! I had completely forgotten about him, I hope he’s alright and isn’t too upset. I’ll have to talk with him tomorrow.

I needed to clear my head so I put on a sports bra, a T-shirt and a pair of leggings and tied my hair up. Genny gave me an old iPod of hers that had some music on it so I got my headphones put them on and went outside, I needed to go for a jog and clear my head.

I decided to go for a jog in the woods so I could enjoy the scenery and the wildlife, I wasn’t allowed to leave the pack house at Blood Moon. Only to go get groceries from the trucks that came in weekly or if I needed to run an errand.

I was lost in my thoughts when I tripped over a tree root. I have never been very graceful so I tumbled down the little hill to my left and my left foot was caught in another root causing it to twist.

I managed to free my foot which was very tender. I tried to get to my feet but pain shot straight up my leg.

This is just great. I was at least 3 miles away from my cottage. It was already starting to get late and it was going to take me forever to get home. Agnes is going to be upset if I’m late to help prepare dinner.

I find a rather large tree branch close by that is pretty sturdy so I use it as a cane making sure to put all the weight from my left side onto it.

My headphones were crushed in the fall so I had to stumble back in silence. It wasn’t all that bad, I could hear the birds chirping and singing which was rather therapeutic.

I was about half way home when suddenly the birds went quite and some flew away in a frenzy. I heard the snap of a twig close behind me and turned only to see a fairly large mangy, brown wolf with red eyes. A rogue. You could tell by the red eyes.

My heart began hammering in my chest. I had been training for the last few days with Genny but I was no where near ready to take anyone on, let alone a rogue!

He began to advance and snapping his jaw at me with a vicious growl.

Sh*t.

He suddenly lunges at me and I use my stick to jam into his mouth as he goes for my neck. I manage to throw him off me and struggle to get to my feet. This isn’t going to be easy.

I grunt in pain as I put pressure on my hurt foot. I use the stick to smack him upside the head which temporarily distracts him. I try to run but he quickly catches up and claws at my back ripping my shirt as his claws catch the skin on my back.

I hiss in pain as I fall to the ground with him quickly jumping on top of me. I use my elbow and pull back as hard as I can making contact with his snout. He helped in pain as he backs off enough for me to flip over.

He suddenly shifts into his human form and he has a disgusting smirk on his face. His face and body have scars all over and he looks and smells foul.

“Here I was just going to kill you but seeing that pretty face and hot body has given me a change of heart,” he says with a sinister smile as he starts to approach me again.

“I bet your p*ssy is nice and tight, just waiting for my big c*ck.” He says as he licks his lips.

Hearing this I gag. “In your dreams.” I say as I lift my good foot up and strike him right in the balls once he gets close enough.

He keels over and I use the advantage to scramble up and try to run as fast as my foot will let me. It’s not long before he jumps at me and knocks me down.

He is on my back and I can feel his erection pressing against my leg. I want to throw up. He flips me over and holds my hands above my head as he straddles me. He extends a claw and rips my bra, almost exposing one of my breasts. I try to kick and buck him off but it seems to just get him more excited.

He leans down to try and kiss me but I head butt him in the nose. He releases my hands and put them to his nose as blood starts pouring out. He takes a moment then punches me in the face. I’ve had a lot worse than that in my life so without hesitation I use my hands and grab his face, digging my thumbs into his eyes. He screams out in agony then he grabs me by the throat, squeezing until I can feel my lungs struggling for air.

I can feel myself start to pass out, my vision gone black, when suddenly his body is thrown away from mine. I can hear a commotion beside me of rustling and grunting and the most gruesome snapping sound.

“Lilliana!” I hear the voice of Alpha Gabriel. “Are you okay?!!”

I take a moment, afraid to speak as I try to steady my breathing. My vision coming back as I blink up at the man hovering above me.

“I’m fine.” I manage to croak out, my throat sore from the rogues assault.

Alpha Gabriel bent down and picked me up bridal style as if I weighed nothing.

“Just hold on, we’re going to the pack hospital to make sure you’re okay.”

“What about the rogue?”

“Don’t worry about him, I’ve already dealt with him,” he snarls.

I don’t respond, I snuggle into his bare chest and let him carry me, soon falling asleep.

Alpha Gabriel’s P.O.V

I had been on my way to Lilliana’s house to make sure she was okay. It had been a few hours and no one had seen or heard from her.

I heard something off in the distance that sounded like someone screaming, it was coming from the forest so I decided to go and check it out.

It wasn’t long before I caught the scent of my beautiful mate but also something rancid. I panicked and shifted, running to her scent.

Once I reached her the sight before me sent Ace into a rampage. There was a rogue on top of our mate, he was naked and our beautiful mate was barely clothed, her tshirt and bra ripped and hanging from her body. One of her breasts very near exposure.

Ace quickly threw him off our mate. Rage filled us as we attacked him, snapping his neck.

I turned to see Lily, her beautiful face and body covered in dirt and blood. She was taking deep desperate breaths.

I quickly shifted back to my human form and after making sure she was okay I picked her up carried her to the pack hospital. My muscles relaxing at her touch, she snuggled into me which made Ace purr.

Once we reached the pack hospital the doctor rushed over to take her from me. I growled at him and he stopped, leading me to an open bed. Lily had woken up when I set her down on the bed and looked at me. Suddenly her face turned bright red and her eyes flew to the ceiling and she looked away from me.

The doctor cleared his throat beside me, looking over at him he glances down in a knowing manner. I look down to realize I am very naked.

I quickly grab a hospital blanket from a nearby cart and wrap it around my hips. I wasn’t shy about my body but I didn’t want to make Lilliana uncomfortable.

I’m back at her side in seconds and the doctor is looking her over, he cuts her shoe off as she winced in pain and grabbed onto the handles on the bed for dear life when he first touched her foot.

Her foot was swollen and discoloured. I mentally kicked myself knowing this was all my fault. I knew I should have waited to talk to her

I told you we should go after her! Ace grumpily tells me.

I roll my eyes and block him out, I feel bad enough as it is.

Once the doctor finishes with her foot he goes to her face where one of her beautiful green eyes is sporting a bruise and has gone blood shot. The doctors says it’s fine and her vision is still perfect.

He examined her chest and stomach and sat her up to examine her back. There is a large gash but that’s not the only thing I saw. There were many scars on her back, some stretching from top to bottom.

Ace snarled and began pacing knowing that our mate had been tortured. We would find the wolves that did this to her and rip their hearts out.

Lilliana looked at me from over her shoulder. “Please don’t look.” Her voice was so small and innocent I couldn’t help but do as I was told. I turned away so my beautiful Lily wasn’t uncomfortable.

“I’m going to keep you over night to make sure the wound on your back doesn’t become infected. Rogues tend to carry many nasty diseases. I’m also going to give you a few injections, one for pain and a couple antibiotics. Your foot also needs to be x-rayed, I don’t think it’s broken but I just want to make sure.” The doctor says as he writes everything down on his clipboard.

The doctor nods his head and bows to me then leaves the room. Leaving us alone.

I mindlink my Beta, Jason, asking him to bring me shorts and a T-shirt. I decided to mindlink Genny and ask her to bring some clothes and toiletries for Lily so she can shower and be comfortable. I’m sure she will like having her friend here with her too. Genny seems rather distraught as she answers me but says she will be here as soon as possible.

I then turn to my gorgeous mate. My heart constricts when I see her. She looks so fragile and to see her bruised up it makes Ace want to howl in agony.

As I’m about to speak Lily speaks first, looking at me with eyes shining bright with tears.

“Thank you. I thought I was going to die.” She says as sobs wrack through her small fragile body.

Unable to stand by and watch her cry I go to her and wrap her in my arms. Her soothing scent envelops me. I’m unable to let her go. I can’t believe we almost lost her. I, myself want to cry and I don’t cry over anything.

Soon there is a knock on the door so I’m forced to release her. She had finally stopped crying and fallen asleep.

I go to the door and Jason stands with a change of clothes in hand with a questioning look. I quickly and quietly let him know of the attack and instruct him to go dispose of the body. I also make sure to tell him to double the guards training as punishment for letting a rogue get into pack property. As I’m finishing our conversation I see a very distraught looking Genny coming towards me.

“Alpha,” she says with a bow “is… is she okay? What happened?”

“Genny, thank you so much for coming. I’m sure she will be very happy to have you with her. She is okay and as for what happened I will leave that for her to tell you. I’m going to stay out here for a bit so she can change and do whatever it is she needs to do.”

Lilliana’s P.O.V

I wake to a gentle hand being placed on my cheek. I open my eyes to see a crying Genny standing beside me.

“Lilliana, what happened?!” She sobs as she takes in my bruised and battered state.

My throat was still hurting but I forced myself to whisper.

I explained what happened with the rogue, leaving out the part about the alpha supposedly being my mate.

She began sobbing as she bent down and hugged me. It was not only overwhelming to have someone worry about me but also kind of nice. I smiled softly at her and squeezed her hand.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be okay!” I said putting on my best smile.

“You better be! I know we just met a few days ago but I feel like I’ve known you my whole life. I would be lost without you!” She says as fresh tears spring from her eyes.

After she takes a moment to compose herself she picks up a bag from the chair behind her. “I brought you some clothes and some things so you can take a shower. I can help you if you want.”

“How did you know I was even here?”

“The alpha mindlinked me.”

I smiled a bit at that. Not only did he save me but he knew that I needed my best friend with me but that still didn’t change the fact that I cannot be his mate or Luna. The moon goddess must have made a mistake.
