Warehouse Assistant

He carefully studied the job descriptions for HAZ Investments. Most positions required a master's degree, with a few requiring a bachelor's degree from prestigious universities. However, there was one unique position with much less stringent requirements, not even specifying a need for any formal education. This position was called Warehouse Assistant. A warehouse manager needs an assistant? Qin Shu found it strange, but he didn’t care. This position was a breakthrough opportunity—he just needed to get into HAZ Investments. The job was merely a stepping stone, and besides, the little girl he was interested in worked at HAZ Investments, giving him extra motivation. The job had only two requirements: First, you had to be physically strong. Second, you needed to be proficient in using a computer, which seemed reasonable. However, the salary was shockingly low—only 800 yuan. It was unbelievable that HAZ Investments had such an odd position. "I'm sorry, Mr. Ivy League graduate, but our investment analyst positions are already filled! Besides, our small HAZ Investments can’t accommodate such a big shot like you!" Yan Qing's voice was full of mockery. If it were any other time, Qin Shu would have already taught him a lesson, but he held back and smiled, saying, "I'm not applying for the investment analyst position anymore. I want to apply for the Warehouse Assistant job!" "Oh?" Yan Qing was taken aback, "Mr. Ivy League, aren’t you lowering your expectations a bit too much? An investment analyst earns 30,000 yuan a month, while a warehouse assistant only gets 800. Isn’t that too much of a downgrade for you?" "Oh, it’s no downgrade. Every trade has its master, and gold will shine no matter where it is!" Qin Shu kept his composure, adjusting his tolerance level in the face of Yan Qing's sarcasm. "Do you really not feel this is beneath you? A Harvard graduate taking this job—you’d be the first!" His colleague next to him burst into laughter again, while only Shu Lu looked at Qin Shu with some sadness. She wanted to speak up for Qin Shu, but as a mere employee, she had no say in the matter. "Isn't it great to be the first?" Qin Shu continued smiling, even more brightly, "Even if you wanted to compete with me for this, I wouldn’t let you!" Though he was smiling, inwardly he was gritting his teeth. Damn it, remember this, kid. When I become CEO, you’ll be kicked out of HAZ Investments for good. Go ahead and enjoy yourself now. "Alright, since you want to be the first, let’s start the interview! The first requirement is strength. Do you have it?" Yan Qing’s tone was increasingly challenging and provocative. Before he even finished speaking, Qin Shu leaned over the desk, grabbed the front of Yan Qing's shirt with his left hand, and with his right hand under Yan Qing's stomach, he lifted him up over the desk with a swoosh. Everyone around them was stunned, unable to believe that Qin Shu was this strong, as he didn’t look particularly muscular. Shu Lu covered her mouth, her face full of shock. "What... what are you doing?" Yan Qing flailed in the air, making a fool of himself, "Put me down right now!" "Am I strong enough?" Qin Shu smirked. He had even fought in underground boxing matches before, so lifting this weakling over the desk was effortless. "Yes, yes, yes! Put me down, quickly!" Qin Shu smiled and gently placed him back into his chair, then straightened out the wrinkled front of his shirt. "So, does that mean I meet the first requirement?" Yan Qing's face was still pale, clearly shaken, and it took him a while to recover. When he looked at Qin Shu again, there was a hint of fear. "Do you... know how to use a computer?" His voice trembled slightly, and as he spoke, he glanced over at Shu Lu in the distance. "This guy may have some brute strength, but an excavator has far more power than him. This is the age of knowledge, where brains are more important!" He was explaining to Shu Lu? Why? Qin Shu quickly realized that this guy must be interested in Shu Lu. Feeling embarrassed after losing face in front of her, he hurried to explain himself. Looking at Shu Lu again, she didn’t seem to react much, only nodding slightly. Sixty percent indifference, thirty percent dislike—Qin Shu analyzed Shu Lu's behavior with precision.
