When I heard footsteps behind us, Jennie and I yanked ourselves out of the way. I saw Jennie touch her cheeks to wipe away her tears and started to powder them in front of the small mirror.
It was Nadia.
"Hey…What are you doing here? " I asked Nadia and she just stared at Jennie. "I-I’m so sorry Jennie. It wasn’t my intention to – "
"It’s okay Nadia. None taken. "
"But you’re crying over a guy –"
"You don’t have to tell me that straight in my face." Nadia cleared her throat and was hesitant about what to do next. "Come on, talk to her," I said.
"Uhmmm, so I was thinking…" Nadia sounded clever when she said that. Jennie’s head jerked up and I saw how Nadia snuck her arms on Jennie’s shoulders. "I was thinking if you wanted to join me for my little revenge game?"
