  Isadora's POV   I moved closer, trying to lean over her shoulder carefully. It looked like the door had been kicked in, and the lock was cracked. I took a deep breath; in my current situation, I had no room for anything but heightened senses.   "An enemy was here," I repeated, the words coming out in a whisper.   My cousin Michelle looked at me, her face pale and lips quivering from the fear in her eyes.   "An enemy looking for us? I think that can't be you, Isadora." She tried to laugh softly and keep it light.   I started to laugh but stopped because she scowled at me. "It is not funny, Isadora."
