Evers
Evers drove his Cadillac toward his plant on Long Island. He could easily afford the more expensive foreign cars his neighbors earned but he preferred to buy American. If he had his way he’d prohibit foreign products on US soil. He believed America should set an example for the rest of the world by the product it produced. Imports had infiltrated the markets in too many areas. At least America was still the world’s number one defense industry. And since Skylar was the number two defense company and closing in on first place, Evers took much of the credit. Everything assembled at Skylar was American made and Evers was committed to keeping it that way.
