RED ROOM

POV: IZZY I sat frozen. Not because I was scared. Okay maybe a little because I was scared. But mostly because my body had decided betrayal was fun tonight. This man had pulled me onto his lap without permission and somehow instead of punching him like a respectable woman, my heart was acting like it had just found free rent. His hand rested lazily against the armrest, not touching me anymore. Which somehow made me more aware of him. His scent. God. Why did he smell so No. No. We were not doing this. I shifted and tried to stand. His hand moved. Not forceful. Just enough to stop me. My eyes widened. Excuse me? I turned to glare at him. He looked… younger up close. Not young. Just less terrifying than earlier. Still annoying though. His blue eyes studied me quietly. Like he was waiting. “For what?” I snapped. His brows moved slightly. “You’re supposed to say something.” I stared. Was this man insane? “You kidnapped me.” His expression changed. A pause. “I invited you.” I laughed. Actually laughed. “Oh yes, my apologies. Your giant guard carrying me across the room must have been my imagination.” His jaw tightened. He looked toward the door. “Marcus.” The door opened instantly. The scary guy appeared. “Yes, Alpha.” Wait. Alpha? Oh. OH. Restaurant guy wasn’t restaurant guy.!!!!! Restaurant guy was dangerous. Luci looked at him. “Next time she says no” Next time!!!!!! His eyes flickered to me. “Leave.” The guard looked shocked. Then nodded and disappeared. I blinked. Okay. Unexpected. Luci looked back at me. “I apologize.” I stared. That…was not what I expected. I recovered quickly. “Accepted.” His brow lifted. I crossed my arms. “Now can I leave?” His eyes stayed on me. “No.” My eye twitched. “Excuse me?” His gaze lowered briefly before returning to my face. “I have questions.” I laughed again. This man was unbelievable. “You dragged me into a red room and now you want an interview?” His lips almost moved. Almost. "Okay I will save them for our next meeting" Not a question. Not a request More of a statement "Next meeting" I frowned. “Yes?” "do you have a problem with that?" A question this time I tried to open my lips but nothing came out My stomach dropped. His eyes narrowed slightly. And for a second… something strange passed through his expression. Not recognition. Not exactly. More like… confusion. Like something wasn’t adding up. His voice became quieter. “Why can’t I feel your wolf?” My heart stopped. My wolf? I swallowed. Nobody had asked me that before. People usually assumed. Weak omega. End of discussion. Even though I was very aware that I have one We talk sometimes But he sounded genuinely confused. Like he expected something else. I forced a shrug. “Maybe she doesn’t like strangers.” His eyes stayed on mine. Too long. Too intense. Then... “No.” His voice was low. “That’s not it.” Something in my chest moved. Not pain. Not fear. Something warm. Something restless. I stood so fast the chair nearly fell. Luci immediately stood too. I stepped back. Then another. His eyes sharpened. “What happened?” I shook my head. Nothing happened. Nothing. But why is he suddenly asking about my wolf I looked at him. Then turned and pointed at him dramatically. “You.” He blinked. I swallowed. “You stay away from me.” And before he could answer I ran
