The two traders trudged wearily over the weather-beaten paths that had once seen better days. It had been more than two decades since the alien occupation of the planet. There were some minor changes in the lifestyle of the people and they adjusted quickly. One of those changes was the mandatory biometric scans for long distance travel using the normal mode of transport. So, they had chosen the longer trek on foot.
“It has been almost nine months since we started for Trikuta Mountain forest.” The fat, almost obese of the two traders said tiredly. “How much longer do we need to go?” the other trader, who appeared thin and under nourished, placed a comforting hand on his colleague.
“We are almost there. Please try to be brave. We shall reach our destination soon.”
