Chapter 19: Announcement

One month later... June 26, 1567

" Samuel " Haven smiled it had been weeks since she last saw him, her body was going crazy. She still had not marked or mated with him fully. " Your glowing " he smiled kissing her hand gently. He watched as heat rose to her cheeks. " I have a surprise for you " Her eyes widened " A surprise, you already showed up to the kingdom without me knowing, especially since I am a queen and I am supposed to know everything. So, what could be more of a surprise then that. " she smiled. He pulls out a tiny black box and begins to open it slowly. Haven's heart feels as if it is going to rip out of her chest, she did not expect him to ever give her anything but his love and time. Samuel pulled out a white golden necklace with sapphires and diamonds, and in the middle carried a ruby red heart. Tears of happiness threatened to fall from Haven's eyes. " It’s beautiful " she chuckled wiping away a stray tear drop from her cheek. " I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry " he chuckled " he stepped behind her and starts to put the necklace around her neck. " Thank you " she smiled. " You’re still crying " he smiled back. " Stupid pregnancy has my body and mood doing all sorts of things I don't normally do " she frowned. " Understandable " " I have something I have to do, but after would you like to stay with me tonight " her eyes twinkled in the light. " Of course, " he whispered.

One hour later...

The dining hall was filled with guest from the kingdom. " Breathe " I told myself. " Someone looks nervous " Nathaniel spoke peaking his head from around the corner. " I'm not " Haven gritted her teeth annoyed. " What's your issue " he spoke calmly. She sighed, " I have no control over my emotions, they are all extremely heightened. " her voice crack as if she were about to cry. Tears threatened her eyes. " Oh, for f***s sake " she muttered wiping her eyes. " This is going to be one long pregnancy ", he chuckled. If looks could set people a fire, Nathaniel would be burnt to a crisp. " It's not funny " she mumbled. " Well are you ready " he spoke soft holding his hand out for hers. Haven took his hand as he guided them out to the thrones. The servants rung the bells signaling for everyone's attention. " Attention, Attention " the one guard chanted. " Your king and queen. " Everyone bowed, Haven however was distracted by her special someone off in the far-right corner. " I king Nathaniel has some good news, As you know the queen and I have been planning for a heir, We are pleased to tell you that Queen Haven is with child " he finished and the crowd cheered and applauded for their queen's blessings. " Congratulations " they cheered. " We also have some sensitive news, as you know there have been English troops that are surrounding our borders " Haven spoke slowly. " There have also been several assassinations attempts on me, your queen. " She looked at Samuel when the words came out, his eyes widened along with the few small gasps you could hear in the crowd. " I want you all to know we do not take this lightly. We will fight back and destroy those who dare try to cross us. " she finished. " Everyone here is in service to the queen, if you see something do not hesitate to say something " Nathaniel intervened. Their people nodded in unison. " Thank you for your time and we hope you'll stay for some fine wine; beer and our lovely chefs have prepared some fine food for you all this evening. " Haven smiled taking a deep breath. 

Haven turned away to head back to her chambers. " Haven " Nathaniel spoke grabbing her hand " Aren't you staying for dinner? " he asked gently. " No, I feel rather off tonight. I will have my ladies bring me some tea and something to eat. " she smiled. Nathaniel looked up and saw Samuel in the corner " Make sure she is safe " he spoke harshly " I won't let anything happen to her " Samuel spoke narrowing his eyes. " I'll let you two go now, I have guest to attend too. " He spoke turning around to head back to the dining hall. 

Samuel walked side by side with Haven, they giggled with one another like two lovesick teenagers. " This is my room " she smiled. " Well ladies first " he spoke opening the door for her. " Your highness " he bowed. Haven could not help but to break out into hysterical laughter, then proceeded to roll her eyes. " Patricia " she called. " Yes, your majesty " she smiled. " I would like to introduce you to Samuel " " My pleasure " she smiled. " Nice to meet you " he smiled back. " Can you please bring us some fancy cheese and some midnight tea " " As you wish " she spoke turning away down the hall. " So, Samuel how have things been? " Samuel laughed at the question. " I haven't slept in weeks since you decided it was ok to let Emily off the hook " he grinned " I mean seriously I did not know two people could have that much s*x " he continued. Haven giggled " well you have never had s*x with a supernatural being, our libido is off the charts. " " I do not even think they stop to eat. " he smiled " But other than the nonstop ruckus in the house I have sold many swords and have been crafting new Amor, which reminds me... Do any of your troops need new weapons and gear or Amor of sort I could help little to no cost. " His brow rose. " I couldn't ask that of you " she smiled calmly. " I want to " he whispered. " I mean they could " she looked down. 

He could tell she was not interested in small talk. " Your majesty " Patricia walked into the room with their evening snacks. " That looks heavenly, I am absolutely famished. Thank you, Patricia, " she smiled. " Your very welcome just let me know if you need anything else " she winked leaving the room once more. Have begun to eat the fine cheese tray, but it was not what she was crazy. What she was craving was across the room from her. He sat there with his golden hazel eyes and sandy brown hair watching her, his eyes looked as if they were hungry for something else. " Your beautiful " he spoke subtle shifting in the chair. She dropped the strawberry from her mouth as he got up and came over to her. " You’re not to bid yourself " she chuckled. His eyes scanned her face looking up and down for permission. " I am going to kiss you " his voice soft and husky. " I would like that " she smiled. Their lips met and it sent a shock through both. Her tongue fighting for dominance, she wanted to taste all of him. " I - I should stop " she whispered. " It is quite painful to be this close to you " " What do you mean " her eyes began to shiver with tears " Did I " " No, it’s me. I want to mark you and taste you. I want so much more, and I have been doing my best to give you time and space that you need. " she whispered. He blinked at her trying to understand the words she was saying and the words for some reason hurt. He wanted her in more ways than he could count. Hell, he fantasized about her biting him, just that very thought could make him extremely hard. " Samuel " she spoke grabbing his attention. He just looks at her and pursed his lips. 

He moved close to her shifting his weight again, this time getting up and picking her up lifting her bridal style. " Samuel " she shrieked. He carried her to the bed and laid her down. She could feel her heart threating to thump out her chest. He leaned down over her kissing her gently, sucking on her lower lips. He nipped at her and started caressing her. She let out a soft moan, her teeth elongating from her up jaw. " Samuel " she gasped. He pulled away and observed her silver eyes and observed her teeth and how her breathing went ragged. " I want you " he whispered. " Are you sure " she whispered. " I've never been more sure about anything in my life, I need you " he spoke hungerly. She pushed on his chest flipping him onto is back and began to straddle him. " This might hurt a little bit " she spoke in a soft voice " but the pain will be followed by pleasure. " she finished. His breathing was heavy, but his eyes never left hers. She leaned over kissing his neck gently causing him to shiver and gasp out. Her fangs scraping his skin. " Haven " he whispered. She dipped her head down plunging her fangs into his neck causing him to wince but that quickly subsided causing him to moan. " You are mine now " she whispered kissing and licking his neck. " Only yours " he whispered back as they continued their evening holding one another peacefully.
