“Are you stalking me?” I ask him as his lips pull into that smile he's almost always wearing when I see him.
“No.”
Even my head tells me him stalking me is impossible. I didn't even know I was going to come to Sai and Johannas until a few minutes ago. And I'd come from the hospital.
“How are you here then?”
He shrugs. “Fate will keep bringing us together, my queen, whether we permit it to or not.”
I frown at his words. “I do not appreciate the prophetic tone of your words, Xane.”
“You do not have to like it either, my queen.”
“Why do I even bother,” I sigh and sidestep him but he shifts and is once again blocking my path.
“What on earth do you want from me?”
“Your response to me on the matter I raised with you when you followed me into the woods.”
“Shut up.” I hiss at him.
