I hurry out of the shadows and stumble out into the vast hallway. My mind whirls in a hundred different directions as I consider what this all means. For Lukas and for the kids.
If their adoption has been kept a secret for so long since even after his first mate passed, then Lukas must have kept it a secret for a reason. Which means the whole world can't go finding out now.
I have to warn the doctor.
I push the heavy glass doors open and hurry out of the Vip ward, rushing to the elevator.
I see that it is already in use, going down to the ground floor. If I used the staircase, I would never make it down there before them. Maybe if I was not what I was.
I rush to the stairwell anyway. If I got to one of the normal floors, I could use one of the normal elevators on that floor. I g
