I pick up the milkshake and take a pull from the straw, savoring the cool refreshing taste. I sigh again.
Johanna sits on an armchair opposite me. She shakes her head, her curly hair bouncing as she looks at me. “I couldn't believe it when I saw the news.”
My stomach makes a loud growling noise and Johannas lips thins in disapproval. She stares for a minute, before I relent and pick up the burger. I take a bite and I don't regret it. It tastes so good after almost a full day of not eating, so I take another bite.
“I hate how everyone pries into the King's life like it belongs to them. This sort of matter should be private, at least until a full investigation has been carried out.” Johanna says seriously.
“And the children? How are they?”
I shake my head dismally, the food in my
