Frightened, I glance at Iris, cutting the Beta short. She heard. There’s no way she didn’t hear him say that when she has wolf powers, too—and freaking ears.
Being Lukas’s Queen has thrown me in the spotlight. Not many know my face yet. I want to leave it at that, but the universe is a force working against me today.
“I apologize for not recognizing you,” Iris bows immediately, her hands clasped in front of the pretty dress I chose for her.
