I watch silently as Mallory and Eva pour the drinks and then assist those seated at the table to take servings of the toast, or bacon,.passing around the fruit bowl and pouring juice or coffee where needed.
I had requested pancakes and side serving of sliced strawberries, with a healthy amount of maple syrup drizzled over the pancakes.
I cut into my pancakes, and took a bite, chewing and swallowing and trying hard not to let my anxiety show.
Tyler walks into the dinning hall, his eyes set on Lukas. He approaches our table and bows in deference to Lukas, and then to me before turning back to Lukas.
“We have an unexpected visitor here today, King Lukas.”
Lukas shrugs, picking up his cup and drinking from it, before placing it back. “Is this unexpected guest part of our pack?”
