"Ahm... you might want to change your skirt muna... looks like someone forgot their period is coming." He said right behind my ears, my eyes widened, and out of the right state of mind I turned around that ends our face for almost crashing. It feels like everything turn slowmo as I face him. Both of our eyes widened on how inches close our faces are.
"A-Ah... I..." I turn my back once again, shutting my eyes and my lips as well.
That was so embarrassing!
Once again I felt his arms on my waist, tying his jacket around them.
"Do you need.. no, you have a.. napkin right?" He ask and I look by the wall, thinking if I brought any napkin in my bag just incase.
I always bring two, but I forgot to re-stock it when Ellie just ask for it last week. That means I have none for now.
"Wala e, bibili nalang ako sa labas." I said while facing my back at him.
I hear him sigh, "No, stay here, lock the door and don't let anyone in. If anyone knock, ignore it. Act as if there's no one inside." He said and I hear few noises at my back which made me turn around to see if what he is doing. I saw him picking up his keys, phone, and wallet from the president table.
"Anong gagawin mo?" I confusedly ask, he look at me and chuckled.
"I'll go to the convenience store sa labas. I'll buy you pads and... f**k its so hard to say it. Basta, I'll buy you things, I know what you need, we had this lesson in high school, just wait here." He said before walking pass by me and exiting the room. Like what he said, I locked the door and closed the curtains. I sigh and lean on the door before looking around the place.
The school council office looks nice. It looks so organized and neat. I wonder who made this room this clean? Is it the officers? Do they voluntary clean their office? Or do they ask someone or the janitor to clean it?
I walk towards Ezekiel's table and out down the posters for the upcoming foundation day. As I put down the papers, I noticed a picture frame at the side effects the table. Our of my curiosity I pick the frame up and look at the picture. It's a picture of the SSG officers with Ezekiel at the center, cake icing is all over his face which the other officers are holding balloons.
There's another picture frame so I pick it up. Its a picture of Ezekiel, Ace, and kuya Richard and another guy. I haven't seen him in the campus yet. Maybe he's from a different school. He's not wearing any uniform but he's wearing an ID that has a different lace so he's probably from different school.
Lumayo na ako sa table ni Ezekiel at naglakad lakad pa. Hindi naman ako pwede umupo or else pati jacket nj Ezekiel ay madudmihan ko. Bakit ko ba naman kasi nalimutan na dadatnan na pala ako? Its probably dahil sa kakaisip ko sa mga school works at dahil na rin sa pag cover up ko kay Ellie kagabi kaya nalimutan ko na dadatnan na pala ako.
Muli akong naglakad-lakad hanggang sa matagpuan ko ang isang malaking black na storage box. I was expecting papers when I open it. But as I saw the packs of Snickers, Reeses, KitKat, other biscuits and chocolates, I was beyond shock when I saw them.
Is this the council's monthly supply of foods!? Gosh, kung alam ko lang na may ganito pala dito edi sana tinodo ko na yung pangangampanya ko last year. I'm missing a lot!
"I want one.." I whined as I bit my lower lip, staring at the pack of Reeses. I bit my lower lip and turn around to see if no one is really here with me. I look back at the box and grab one Reeses before closing the box.
I immediately ate the pack I stole and walk towards the water dispenser to drink water since the chocolate is sweet and it might affect my throat.
As I am drinking water the door opened making me run towards the bathroom in surprise and panic.
"Relax, it's just me. I knew you would lock it thats why I brought the keys. I'm sorry for scaring you though." Ezekiel said and I nod before coming out of the bathroom. He have a big brown bag on his hand and he closes the door.
"Here.. I got you these." He said before pulling a smaller bag from the brown big and handing it to me.
"Thanks.." I simply mumbled,
"Oh wait, this might help." He said before walking towards his table and getting something from the drawer.
"I.. honestly don't know if this will fit, it might look big since you have petite features, but I know you can still pull it off." He said as he hand me a pair of jeans.
I slowly nod, "I'll try, thanks." I said before rushing towards the bathroom.
Gladly there's a sink inside where I can put the things he got me. When I open the small paper bag, I am so shock to see what's inside.
"Oh no.. did he just.. got me these?!" I whisper as I pull out a 3 pieces set of female underwear.
My jaw dropped as I imagine how awards he probably looks like while paying for these. The next thing inside is a pack of napkin which is not the brand I use but its still a napkin.
So I did my business and now I'm just on the underwear. I'm looking at the pants and doubting if it will fit on me. But I have no choice, do i? I can't walk around ths school wearing a stained skirt and jacket around my waist.
So I put on the pants and surprised when it fits. It actually looks like a square pants to me since it's big at the bottom part. Its also a low waist but I think it matches my top.
I put my things inside the paper bag before going out the door. Right when I step out, I saw Ezekiel coming down from his table where he was sitting.
"Oh, it looks nice on you." He said and I shyly smiled.
I face the mirror to look at my reflection, and like what I said, it did look nice on me. I was actually expecting it will bad na magmumukha akong baduy. Pero hindi naman ganun ang kinalabasan.
I faced him and smiled, "Salamat ha. I owe you one." I said and he chuckled before walking towards me with the bigger paper bag on his hand.
"These are for you too." He said, pushing forward his hand.
My brows furrowed and I confusedly look at it. "What are these?" I ask as i open the bag.
"Ezekiel! You don't have to do this." I exclaimed as I saw the packs of chocolates and treats inside the bag.
"I know you'll have craving, nakita ko na rin yung plastic ng Reeses na kinain mo. I'm sure it's yours kasi walang SSG officer na nagkakalaat dito or else yari sila sa akin." He said and my eyes widened.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry, babaya-
"No need, its fine, if ever in the future, you're craving for chocolates, always remember na you're welcome here and you're under my care, so you're allowed to grab treats here. Hindi rin naman sila kumukuha dyan. Sayang nga e." He said and I slowly nod.
"Makaka-asa ka.." I said and his brows furrowed. I mentally scolded myself cause my answeer sounds so wrong but he just nods.
"Okay, here's the posters nga pala, go back to you classroom. Classes are about to start." He said and hand me the posters, I thanked him once again before rushing through the hallway of the building.
Pagkadating ko sa labas ng aming classroom ay agad akong nagdikit ng poster sa labas ng aming classroom. Sa tabi ng magkabilang pinto, sa pader, sa poste. Pagpasok ko ay agad akong nagdikit sa bulletin board.
"Guys, listen." Ani ko sa harap ng klase, ang mga kaklase ko naman ay agad lumingin sa aking gawi.
"Pinapa-announce po ni president na malapit na daw po ang foundation day, so please prepare and wait for further announcement." Ani ko at umalis na sa harap at umupo sa aking bangko. Medyo uncomfortable pa ako sa pantalon na aking suot dahil hindi naman ito sa akin.
Nagsimula na ang morning class namin at sinundan ng second period. Nang ma-dismiss kami for lunch ay kinuha ko na ang aking bag at naglakad sa hallway. Nasa cafeteria na daw si Ellie at hinihintay ako.
Pag dating ko sa cafeteria at hinanap ko pa si Ellie. Napapansin ko rin ang iba't ibang tingin sa akin ng mga ibang estudyante na akin namang isinasawalang bahala nalang. Siguro ay dahil hindi bagay sa akin ang pantalon ni Ezekiel. Pero bagay naman daw sabi niya. At sa tingin ko rin ay ayos lang ito sa akin.
"Angel!" Agad napabaling ang aking tingin sa gilid nang tawagin ako ni Ellie. Napangiti ako at siyang naglakad papunta sa kaniya at umupo sa harap niya.
"Sorry nag extend kasi-
"No time for that. Alam mo bang may kumakalat na chismis tungkol sayo?!" She said and my brows furrowed.
"Ha? Ano daw?" Taka kong tanong.
Napa-irap ito, "Wag kana mag patay malisya. Halata na Angel, nung nakita kita na pumasok ng cafeteria. I know its true." Ani niya at lalong napakunot ang aking noo.
"Ha? I.. I don't get it. Can you please just tell me?" I said and she sigh before rolling her eyes once again.
"What happened to you and Ezekiel sa office ng student council?" She said and I slightly tilted my head.
"He told me to get the posters for foundation day." I answered directly.
She squinted her eyes, "And...? Yun lang? So whats with the pants? Don't tell me trip mo lang na suotin yung pants ni Zek and nothing more happened?" She said and that's when things started to sink in my head.
"What?! Ellie its not like that! Walang nangyari sa amin! Gosh! I forgot I'm having my period and I stained my white skirt, buti nalang nakita ni Ezekiel and he bought me pads and.." I froze as I realized I can't say the next word.
Ellie raised her left brow, "And? And what Angel? You're sounding more suspicious my dear sister." Ellie said and I bit my lower lip.
I sigh and lower my head, "He bought me undies kasi I stained the first one of course." I said and I heR Ellie scoff.
"Okay, looks like I need to talk to someone for spreading that fake news about you. They even made you sound like a.. basta!" She said and my head snap up.
"Ellie no, its fine, they're just probably.. shock na makita ako na ganito at galing sa office." I said and Ellie glared at me.
"Fine, pero kung kumalat pa 'to and get worse, I'm gonna throw hands." She said and I just pouted before we get our lunch.
We are in the middle of eating when suddenly students started to talk louder. When we look up, we saw Ezekiel with Ace at his back and his other friends probably.
"I swear Angel, kapag may narinig ako na tungkol sayo, I'm ready to make a scene." Ellie mumbled and I just widen my eyes at her.
We get back on eating when suddenly someone called me.
"Ms. Angel Navarro! How's your lunch? Pinapatanong ni Ezekiel." Ace suddenly shout catching all student's attention. They started to look at me and started whispering.
I hear Ellie flick her her tongue, "Tangina.." Ellie cursed before standing up.
My eyes widened and the next thing that happened made everyone gasp.
"Ellie!"
