"What time will you pick Angel?"
Napanganga ako sa gulat nang marinig ang sinabi ni dad. Maski naman si Ezekiel ay halatang nagulat nang lingunin ako nito at kitang kita sa mga mata niya ang gulat.
"A-Ah... 7pm po, I'm not sure until when pero I'll bring her back before 12pm." He replied and dad nods.
"Okay, mag-iingat kayo." Dad said and Ezekiel nods.
"Yes tito, makaka-asa kayo na iingatan ko si Angel." He said and dad nods.
"Great, kumain ka na ba? Eat dinner with us here." Dad said and Ezekiel shake his head.
"Hindi na po tito, I'm fine po. Uuwi na po ako." Ezekiel said and dad nods.
"Sige sige, ingat sa pag-uwi mo." Dad said and Ezekiel nod. He look at me and smiled before heading out the door.
Just as the maids close the door, mom and dad leave me there as if nothing happened.
Did dad just... let me go to a party this time?
I'm still shocked on what happened and I can't seem to move. I am stunned and frozen there. Looking like a statue as I can't seem to move my feet.
"Oh.. my.. God!!" I shout when everything sink in to me!
I rush upstairs and banged Ellie's door.
"Ellie!! Ellie open the door! Ellie!!!" I screamed, I hear her shout 'wait' that sounded panicked as well before opening the door. When the door opened I immediately went inside and jump on her bed by my face that made me bounce which hurt a bit.
"Angel ano ba?! Anong nangyayari sayo?" She ask as she walk towards my direction. Sitting down at the edge of her bed.
I turn in my back, hitting the soft mattress before sitting down. Hair all over my face.
"Ellie... help me pick a clothes to wear." I said and her brows furrowed.
"What do you-... ohhh!! You're gonna sneak out?!" She said and I immediately shake my head.
"No! I won't do that! Pinayagan na ako ni dad na pumunta! Ezekiel was here few minutes ago. Ipinagpaalam niya ako kila mom and dad! He said be will pick me up tomorrow by 7pm! Ellie I'm going to a party!" I said and Ellie slowly nods.
"Oh... and exchange for what?" She said and I pouted.
"Ezekiel used his company, dad badly wanted to have a meeting with them. And Ezekiel used that card. I was surprised nga na tinanong bigla ni dad kung anong oras niya ako susunduin." I said and Ellie chuckled before standing up.
"Well... lets go to your room, lets pick your clothes to wear." She said and I look at her study table. Papers are still scattered around.
"What about your research?" I asked and Ellie looked at it and crossed her arms.
"Ace will do the next part. I'm done with it. I badly need to party." She said and I nod. We head out her room and head to mine. We immediately went to my closet and started looking for clothes to wear.
"Gosh... your clothes are all for cottage core look or for soft girl. You don't have some sparkly clothes Angel?" She ask as we almost went through every clothes I have. We've been looking for more than 30 minutes already.
"I... I don't have eh." I said and I hear her sigh.
She let go of the white shirt and flicked her tongue.
"Lets go back on skirts." She said and I nod. She grab a great skirt, a white polo and a grey coat that will match the skirt.
"You have necktie?" She asked and I nod. I went to a drawer and pull out a grey necktie since I know that will match the clothes.
But she shake her head, "No uh, do you have a pink one?" She ask I nod before pulling out a pink one.
"Okay great, now tomorrow, I want you to iron your hair straight, then put on a barret cap, okay? Grey one also. I know you have one. Magaksabay tayong bumili sa Chanel before, diba?" She ask and I nod. Remembering the barret she's talking about.
"Okay, now your clothes are settled, I'll be back to my room and go to sleep na." She said and I nod, she bid a goodnight and leave as I put the near my bed. Make sure it won't get crumpled.
The next morning, mom and dad didn't utter any word to us about the party. Or they don't even utter any word while eating which is something that isn't new so I don't think they are upset to me.
When we finished breakfast, we went to our van to head to school. When suddenly, when we are near Starbucks, Ellie stopped the driver.
"Kuya wait, I'll get something in Starbucks." She said that made me confused.
The driver nods and turn left to Starbucks and parked outside.
Ellie went out, and even confused, I went out as well and followed her inside.
"Why are we getting coffee?" I asked as we reached the counter.
"Basta, miss isa pong tall, chocolate cookie crumble creme and isang tall, Mocha Frappuccino." She ordered and the lady nods.
She look at me, "Ikaw ba?" She asked and I started panicking.
"A-Ahm... I... isang- I mean dalawang grande na... White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino. At... two slices of vanilla cake." I said and I saw Ellie's shocked expression.
"Angel I'm not in the mood for cake. Kaka-kain lang natin sa bahay." She said and I chuckled.
"Its okay, I'll give it to Ezekiel then. Its for him naman talaga, token of being thankful sa ginawa niya kagabi." I said and she slowly nod. We paid for our coffees and went back to our van.
We are not late and just in time when we arrived. I also just ask Ellie to give Ezekiel his coffee and cake because we are a bit in hurry.
When lunch came, I ate with Ellie once again which made me happy. And didn't get to see Ezekiel in the afternoon. But at least I know he will pick me up by 7pm.
When we arrived at home by 5pm I made sure I finished some school works first and cleaned my room. Well not really general cleaning. But just a small cleaning.
By 6pm, I took a shower and started getting ready for the party. Ellie said she will be there around 8pm which made me sad.
Ma-uuna pa pala ako sa kaniya. She told me na sinabi Ezekiel na ako lang ang susunduin niya kaya ayaw na niyang sumabay sa amin.
She just helped me getting ready. She helped me ironing my hair and putting on light make up.
"Great! Now go take some pictures, you look great Angel!" She said and I smiled before nodding.
I took some mirror selfie which actually turn out great.
When the clock strikes 6:58pm, I pick up my purse and wait for any maid to call me.
At exactly 7:01pm, someone knocked on my door.
"Maam Angel, andito na po ang bisita niyo." She said and I stand up and open the door.
"Thank you," I said and she nods.
I went downstairs and there I saw dad talking to Ezekiel.
"Andito na pala ang dalaga ko." Dad said making me pout a bit.
Gosh dad, nakakahiya! What's with the sudden words?!
"Ezekiel iingatan mo ang anak ko ha?" Dad said and Ezekiel nods.
"Yes tito, makaka-asa kayo." He replied and dad nods.
"You two should get going now. Mag-ingat sa biyahe." Dad said and we nod before heading out the house. Ezekiel open his car door for me and went to the driver seat and drove off.
"You look nice." He complimented while driving.
I smiled, "You look nice too." I said and he chuckled.
"You sounded so formal, loose it out. Party yun Angel, hindi business meeting. You don't have to be formal." He said and I pouted.
"But I don't know how to act in a party." I whined and he laughed which made me pout even more.
"Just... be yourself, its a party, no one is expecting you to be perfect and be professional. Seryoso Angel, just have fun." He said and I nod. Few minutes and we entered big gates. Then from a far I can see a big house, light up.
We stopped in front of the house, mansion rather and he opened the door for me.
"Lets go?" He said while offering his hands. I nod and took his hands and went inside.
"Lets find Rapha." He said and I nod. We walk inside and I am surprised on how loud it is. Lights turning in different color and people dancing everywhere.
"There!" He said before holding tighter on my hand and dragging me to a side.
"Yow! Rapha!" Ezekiel said before giving kuya Rapha a pat on his shoulder.
"Yow! Guillermo made it!" Kuya Rapha said before his eyes landed on me.
"Oh... girlfriend mo?" He ask and my eyes widened and shake my head.
Ezekiel chuckled, "No no, friend, get yourself correct sometimes Raphael." Ezekiel said and kuya Rapha laughed.
"Gago ka." He mumbled before looking at me.
"So what's your name?" He asked me.
"Angel, Charleigh Angela Navarro." I said and he slowly nod.
"Navarro... owns a group and company. I know your surname, it's familiar to me." He said and i smiled.
"Ah... happy birthday po." I said and I hear Ezekiel choke on his drink and I saw how Kuya Rapha is shocked.
"Oh... thanks, pero hindi ko birthday." He said and my mouth formed a small 'o' while nodding.
"Wag mo nga ako tawanan! Nakakahiya kaya!" Pagmamaktol ko kay Ezekiel. Kuya Rapha left minutes ago and me and Ezekiel stayed here sa may beverage area. He's drinking something but I refuse to drink.
"Its fine, okay lang yun, we sometimes make mistakes." He said and i pouted.
"Lets just get some food." He said and I nod.
We got some pasta and other foods. My plate is almost full but I don't care.
"Lets seat here with my friends." He said as he leads me to a table with other guys.
"Guys... be kind and nice, meet Angel... friend ko sa university." He said and I smiled at them before sitting down.
One guy lifts his head up and look at me, "Nice catch Guillermo, matinik ka talaga."
